Re: Walt Harris

At this point, I really have no complaints about our passing game overall. Sooner or later though, if Moss has a bad game, and some team is able to shut him down, you would hope that David Patten is capable of picking up the slack.

I just think that Brunell is really in sync with Moss and Cooley. They are his favorite targets, they find ways to get open, and they make the catch.

Would I like another Monk and Clark tandem? Sure. But as long as we can keep a winning record, I really don't care where the passes are distributed.

The main concern now has to be the defense, with their non-existent pass rush, and big play weaknesses.

Re: Walt Harris

Sure helps when either Harris or Rogers can count on 'the dreamsquasher' Sean Taylor to make up for their lack of speed and experience. Seeing the secondary running into each other and leaving a guy WIDE OPEN (thank god Simms didn't see him!) was really really bad. Get well soon Sean Taylor! I miss ya!

Well when someone goes down ...some one else needs to step up.... grab that opportunity..... i have thought from the beginning GW's defensive style is ok but it realy's too much on people being in the perfect psiyion all the time...ad what happens when 1 person gets blocked then they are in thier places and no one to back up...i see it a s a dream defense and that's what causes big plays

Re: Walt Harris

i really starting to think that im actually in with eagle fans with all the bitching and moaning going on here.last year we would have killed for 5 wins in our first 9 games with the thinking (not dreaming)that the playoffs are within reach.the reality of this years redskins is that, while they are good enough to beat any team any time, the flip side is that they could also lose to anyone at any time.i agree that walt harris was brutal yesterday, but as a team, they gave up 36 points to a very average tampa offense.we are starting to turn the corner, but coach gibbs does not quite have the right people in place yet.he is still trying to clean up a decade full of bad personal and salary cap decisions

Re: Walt Harris

Harris isn't the biggest problem. He has played poorly the last few weeks after a solid start to the year, but injuries may have something to do with it. Also, Rogers just needs time to develop (every rookie gets burned from time to time). My concern is with the lack of a pass rush; even our blitzes weren't getting to Simms. We need someone on that line (preferably Daniels or Wynn) to step it up.
