I'm getting sick of Dockett. Someone tell him to stop running his mouth and stop picking up fights at camp. I can't wait until he's bitching about $$ and holds out.

Isn't Jarmon working towards becoming a 3-4 DE? I believed he put on 20 pounds and is in the 280 range.

Jarmon self-reports his weight at 295 and his position definitely at DE.

Jarmon Remains At Defensive End

Yeah, Dumervil is a tweener too.

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test

So I don't have time to read 500 posts, but has anyone here gone out and tried this fitness test? My wife and I bit and went out this morning and both tried it after breakfast. Oh my god Haynesworth, you are a massive puss. It's not difficult at all! Granted neither of us are overweight, and we're both in pretty good shape, but so what? I'm two years older than phat Al. I ran it in 59 seconds, second one in 64. On my first try! And I'm no triathlete. My wife did it in 68 seconds on her first try, 72 on her second.

That horn tooting personal trainer of his should be fired.

I'd be more interested in your results if you were 330 lbs on a tricky knee. Just sayin'.

Yeah but weren't we hearing from both Al and this private trainer of his how he is going to surprise everyone with the shape he's in? Wasn't his trainer publicly bragging about Al's conditioning just a few weeks ago? Also, his knee wasn't an issue until after his second straight day of failing the fitness test. I'll make no apologies for this man.

Yeah he's 115 lbs heavier than I am, but I also ran it 11 seconds faster than he's required to, and I'm not a multi-million dollar pro athlete. Fail Albert, fail.

no shit,I'm not going to read all these post either so it could have been mentioned already.I just saw a video of Mike Golic running this and passing with no prep,if he can do it then Haynesworth should be able to do it with no problem

There's also a video of a woman tv news reporter local to the D.C. area taking the test.
I believe she only missed passing by a couple of seconds.

Ok, who wouldn't pay to see this?

CindyBoren

Charge $ RT @dalison: #Redskins should set up "shuttle course" in fan area of Redskins park during camp. Let fans take it while AH watches. 23 minutes ago via UberTwitter

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test

What concerns me more than his passing or not passing the test is the knee itself. If a 300 + lb. man experiences knee problems just from running, what is the likely outcome when he repeatedly get's hit on it. Is this going to be a recurring problem that limits him to in and out of the line-up for various portions of the season?

If Shanahan decides to allow him to practice with the team despite not being able to complete an endurance test, one has to think he's still not in the kind of condition that would be safe for him to continue without the risk of possible further injury. To me, this has the potential for far more serious consequences than just not being able to complete an endurance exercise.

AH is at least in camp. Revis is holding out when he still has 3 years left on his deal. Get your butt in camp and work something out. Expecting Asomugha type money is absolutely insane.

A deal he held out to get. Still, I think he's less of a distraction in the sense that players tend to understand and respect other players needing to handle their business which ultimately can positively (depending on the result) impact all players.

Harder to accept is a player saying I'm going to work out on my own all spring to make sure I'm ready to go...and then he's not ready. When other guys didn't need to be there but chose to be Haynesworth was "working out on his own." Which is fine, but if you're going to do that you better damn well be ready first day of training camp. Not to mention he initially said he'll be there for the mandatory minicamp but then said no he needed more time on his own.

In the end, neither is a big deal really. Though I can see the Revis situation lasting much longer and potentially into the regular season.
