I don't know if anyone else mentioned it but those new video boards are awesome. I was down in one endzone looking clear across the field to the other side and it was clearer than my HD TV at home. And they have one in each endzone.

Overwhelmingly good, I say!

After the D's and O's first series I think both units played very well. I liked the fact that no matter who was on the field we seemed to play pretty good football. Williams really looked good last night.

Diehard I agree with most of your commentary.

I must say some of the most impressive play came from the revamped oline.

We have to remember a couple of points about the Bills regarding our run game and the oline play. They are converting to a 3-4 this year as well and that pobably had something to do with the running lanes. As our defense struggled in the first series with the run, and then was able to settle down and make some plays with our new defense, the Bills were not able to make the defensive adjustments we were.

The Bills will struggle mightly this year and we need to look to our game against the Ravens next week as our first true test for the oline. If they play as well as they did tonight then I would say that we have something special in that first group.

For all the crap I gave Heyer in the offseason, he played a very nice game last night.

Great point about both teams installing a new defensive scheme. Heyer seems to have improved. He'll provide solid depth.

With the Bills Offensive line so banged up,the DLine shouldve had a few sacks...Id like to see more pressure in the Baltimore game...

Shaw there is nothing you can do. I used to think if the fans would stop supporting this garbage team and send a message to OBD that maybe things would change. Well, there are too many homers that think every year will be different and support this team blindly. Now that Ralph is at the point where he could drop dead at any moment it is too late, any fan revolt would just be an excuse to ship the team elsewhere.

Just sit back and watch the ****show that is the Buffalo Bills. It's this or nothing and once you accept that, it becomes fun to watch again.
I'm so glad Cerrato is gone, Snyder brought in a proven HC, and Allen seems to be working out. I just hope things turn out to be awsome.

Like I said before. After this offseason Buffalo needs a season like this (ie a wake up call). I know Buddy Nix was part of the San Diego brain trust under Butler and subsequently AJ Smith but he's never been a GM and at 70 years old never really seemed to have the qualifications to make it to that level, and his head coaching hire proves it. Chan Gailey has never been successful at the NFL level. At least Zorn was a QB guru. He was a good college coach but the Chiefs thought so little of him that they fired him before last season started.

Plus did anyone else notice that they have glaring holes along the offensive line that went addressed in the offseason? This story rings a little to close to home for my taste. The people of Buffalo don't deserve this crap.

I mean are they trying to move to LA because thats what it looks like to me. Let's just pray that Snyder isn't like this when he gets to be Ralph's age.

Their best hope right now might be that they draft Jake Locker next year and get a couple of scrappy wins, similar to how the Falcons were with Vick. Of course if Locker studies film and does all the things Vick claims to have skimped on then the skies the limit.

You know who reminds me of the 2009 Redskins? The 2010 Raiders.

With major breakdowns on the offensive line a year ago, they drafted defense with their first two picks.

With that said, I don't think they're destined to go 4-12; I picked the Redskins to win 11 games last year after all. I do think that they'll win 7-8 games, that their defense will be pretty disappointing (not the top five unit their fans are expecting), and that their offense will be much improved, but Campbell will get hit too much, and have a decidedly average season that doesn't wow a lot of people.

At least their kickers are good.

Thing is Buffalo, is well, Buffalo. It is not as bad as Detroit necessarily, but damn they get worse winters than up here in Motown, plus like any other rust belt city that grew in the modern industrial age, it is in a steady decline. In short, I am not sure that too many marquee players will want to spend more than one contract there. Eventually they will get back to being decent, but it will take awhile. Total rebuilding mode now for the Bills, but there was a ray of hope. Fitzpatrick wasn't that bad, and those RBs had a good outing against us in the second half. Their D sucked though. I just hope that the city doesn't lose the team.

I think our 1st team dominated. Our 2nd team actually doesn't look that bad either. I felt our 3rd string had a major drop off but that might be due to their lack of NFL experience. Buffalo from what I'm hearing now put their 1st stringers back in the game late in the game. I'm just pointing out that the reason they looked half decent might be because of that reason alone.

Re: Redskins vs. Bills (Preseason Game 1) Thread

Like I said earlier in this thread.. The Bills are the worst team in the NFL and it's not even close.. They might as well move to Toronto because No one will want to play up there. They had a nice run in the early 90s with Marv and the gang but as far as the future goes, it looks pretty bad. I'm still stoked on the way we played because under Zorn we probably would have lost last nights game.

And that is a sad but true assessment. Damn, I'm glad he is outta here, but more than him, Cerrato and Jason "check down" Campbell. (****in' 65% completion percentage my asshole)

Re: Redskins vs. Bills (Preseason Game 1) Thread

Carriker is cheaper and younger and has a much better upside. At this point in CG career he is on the downslide of his career and is just as oftenly injured.

Much higher reward bringing Carriker in now and betting he can be a good player.
