Re: Redskins General 2020 NFL Thread

Larry Michael's retirement not even being acknowledged by the team is fishy, so it's likely he's involved in it. He was always Snyder's YES man on everything, perhaps for a reason other than blind optimism.

Either Snyder hates him, or Larry knows things, perhaps that HE did himself.

It was a huge red flag when they didn't even offer a "thanks for your service" announcement or anything. 15 years of service and a "no comment" exit? Either his name is in the report or he doesn't want to try and spin this pot of shit into gold.

Also the timing of Larry Michael all of a sudden resigning seems so odd. He is either involved in something or is so disgusted he wants out.

Also the minority owners wanting out is very telling. The 3 of them have basically turned their backs on Dan. They obviously know what's going on.

This could turn out like Jerry Richardson's scandal with the Carolina Panthers that forces Snyder out. Yet another item that came to the Redskins from the Panthers LOL.

It sounds really bad. Really Damning. The other owners wanting out was the biggest sign. They know what is coming. Dan might be on his way out, guys.

Gibbs would be part of an ownership group if it did happen, he doesn't have the $$ to buy the majority share.

Even if they're not called the Redskins?

I think he's happy winning NASCAR championships and seeing his grandkids now.

Some are worried Bezos would move the team but that's not happening

The NFL needs a team in the D.C. market. Look how they made sure they got back into L.A. even though it's not really an NFL town, the Lakers and Dodgers rule there.

Where would they even go? San Diego? Oklahoma City? St. Louis? The league would never give up the D.C. market for a smaller city.

The team is already in a prime TV market, so there is zero chance they'd move. And I say that confidently, since the NFL makes most of their money from TV deals.

This is why the Chargers and Rams moved from their small city markets to LA. Even if no one cares about the teams, people in the LA TV market will watch game, and that's more important to owners.

Hell, the DC area TV market is one of the main reasons the Maryland move to the Big 10.
