Re: Superbowl Memories Anyone? Leave yours
Don't post much, but this thread was too good to pass up.
SB VII - Was six, but remember it like yesterday. Darn goal post. SB XVII - Dad bought me and my bro tickets to the game. Sent us to L.A. to stay with my Aunt. The next day was the game and we scalped some better tickets for $10 a piece. Unfortunately we were on the Miami side. Got pelted with peanuts and splashed with beer the whole evening, but we got the last laugh. Oh yeah, we almost got jumped when we left the stadium and were almost run over by a Miami Dolphins limo. Skins fans had our backs, however. When we came back to D.C. we were interviewed on t.v. The coolest memory I have, however, was the next day on the old show "Redskins Sideline" with Glenn Brenner (G-d rest his soul) and Frank Herzog (if I remember straight). Riggo showed up soused out of his mind in coat-and-tails. Pretty darn cool. SB XVIII - Only thing worse than the game was....wait a second....there wasn't anything worse. Don't know how we could have taken the game so lightly given the earlier slugfest we had with the Raiders that season. SB XXII - Watched it at the folks with a friend from college. Don't remember his name, but I remember the buttocks whoopin we put on the ponies. Thank goodness we didn't put in Schroeder. SB XXVI - Home again with the folks. First play of the second quarter (or near abouts) Kurt G. ices it. Sweeet... That's all from Tucson, AZ. Peace and many future Redskins victories! |

Re: Superbowl Memories Anyone? Leave yours
Here's a question for you guys.
If the 1983 team had won the Super Bowl, would you rank them ahead of the 1991 team? I'd probably say yes And (bonus question) if the 1983 team had won the Super Bowl where do you think that team would rank of all-time greatest teams in NFL history?

2) Honestly, tied for number 1 with the 15-1 San Francisco 49ers champion team.
