The "punishment" by the league : "It's like getting a ticket for going too fast on a road a week ago and they changed the speed limit today"

I was at the game also. Mitchell is a moron. There were 5 skins jerseys for every cowpie jersey. He has no clue what he was talking about. They should have asked him how loud it was at the end of the 35-7 stomp, and see if his claim made any sense then, since all the cowgirls had left at the end of the 3rd qtr.

When he was in Philli and New York "The Big Jack" was still selling out, he knew because he came here to play.
Actually, in his defense, he said that Washington is not a sports town. He kept referring to the fact that Michael Wilbon had made this point on some panel, and that he intended to have Wilbon on next (this) week. He was really unable to make the argument himself, which is what infuriated Bram so much. He then went on to say, if anything, Washington is a Redskins town. But then he came up with this idiotic comment about attendance at last year's Dallas game.

Hopefully he'll address these comments again today, so tune in from 12-3pm.

Hmmm...maybe BMitch is a smarter guy than we are all giving him credit for - saying something blatantly controversial in order to get more people to listen...

I'll have to show that quote to my wife. She's a Dallas fan & had never been to any dallas games before we went to that game at fedex. We were there early & walked around a lot. There were quite a number of dallas fans, maybe as much as 5-8%, but that's probably even an overstatement.
The crowd was crazy loud & never let up. My wife had tears in her eyes by halftime & was miserable being surrounded by loud Skins fans (including me) for 3 hours! Brian Mitchell, we love ya, you must just be trying to boost game attendance, cause there's no way you're right on this one!

It's a football site and this thread ISN'T the Parking Lot, not that the statement would make any sense there either.

Back to the topic...I think Mitchell is WAY off. The Redskins may be one of the most popular teams despite how the media treats us. We're also one of the most proud teams when it comes to our history and how our true fans stick with the team through the worst of seasons and the Super Bowl seasons equally. I've been the biggest Skins fan through 3 decades now, from the SB wins to throughout the Spurrier experiment to our SB 41 win that we're going to get. The Cowboys lead the league in bandwagon jumpers.

We ARE the most valuable sports franchise in the world also. Added bonus.

That's nice payback for any PMS you've had to suffer through, or chick flicks, or any non-masculine thing she's made you endure.

Try dating a Steelers girl -- scratch that, her entire Steelers family! (If I have to hear that I root for a "loser" team one more time -- because until next season there are the Steelers and 31 loser teams -- Im gonna snap!)

Re: Brian Mitchell on Redskins fans

The only reason he is saying these outlandish comments is to generate controversy on his show, to engage Redskins fans in the DC area to listen to his show much like Howard Stern's audience were half people that were 'disgusted' by him. He has to stir up some controversy so that 980 can compete with Snyder's new DC media monopoly.
