Will the Redskins Make the Playoffs

I'm an eternal optimist, but unless some things change over the course of the next nine games, this is a difficult question to answer. This team has already had to overcome so much adversity which has invarably led to so much inconsistency, it's extremely difficult to predict a possible outcome for this season. I think a lot of things have to go right the rest of the way, including the ability to win close games. It has become painfully obvious that the games we have left on the schedule are going to be close, and hard fought. The four division games left, and the one against Tampa Bay will pretty much decide our season.

What wildcard teams are going to have 10 wins? The Giants? Probably. Anyone else? Doubtfully. Detroit's got a pretty damn tough schedule. Carolina has the 21st ranked defense and no QB. Arizona won't win 10 games either. In short, our competition sucks.

People might not think we are a playoff caliber team, but find me 6 other NFC teams that are. We don't need to be a top team in the NFL, we need to be a top team in the NFC.

This is why your fandom is rendered invalid, it's rife with unfaithfulness. :cheeky-sm

Come down off your high horse and put your dictionary away, it's called being a true fan. If you don't root for your team to win EVERY week, even if they're 0-15 and playing the defending Super Bowl champs who need a win to make the playoffs...if you're predicting a loss and have no confidence in them, you're not as much of a fan as you think.

Sure the Jets suck and they don't have much of a chance this week, but the people who really love their team are coming to the game or sitting on their couch with their jerseys and are anxious to see a win. I did the same last week, despite the reality of records and stats and will do it every week until I die because I am a Redskins fan no matter how good or bad they are. Sometimes our team will pull out upsets and I and other Skins fans will be jumping up and down, glad we had the faith in our guys to do it, while some pessimists will have to say "glad they won, but I wasn't behind them all the way."

I love stats and numbers, it's actually what I do for a living. I can post plenty of stats and make great points with them, but come Sunday, none of them matter to be because I'm behind my team no matter what numbers, Las Vegas or the media says.
