Re: What is your favorite thing and the thing you will always remember about Sean Tay
I still can't believe he is gone, just thinking about him makes me teary-eyed...it's all so surreal. I'm going to miss seeing him play against the likes of TO and Randy Moss. I'm going to miss our enforcer.

Re: What is your favorite thing and the thing you will always remember about Sean Tay
I got to see him his rookie season in St. Louis and all I could think was how much of a beast he looked. People always said it but until you saw him in person you would understand it.
The greatest memory would be last years Dallas game. I was getting ready to shut off the tv cause I could not take another Dallas loss. Some reason-I guess due to me being such a die hard- i left it on. That was one of my most happiest, excited, and whatever all in one as a Redskins fan. Thank You Sean. |

Re: What is your favorite thing and the thing you will always remember about Sean Tay
I will miss that excitement that Taylor brought to the game. you know, that feeling that he was gonna make something happen either by big hit or INT-and the other team knew it too. I mean, ST was a scary dude.
biggest play i remember has to be that blocked FG against Dallas. I had that all too familiar sick feeling in my stomach when Whitten got behind archuleta for that catch. I though , man here we go again. But then taylor scoops up that loose ball and GETS FACEMASKED and never breaks stride. I've never seen that in my life. Can u imagine the bedlam in fedex if he would have scored on that play? biggest hit is a tossup between that monster hit he put on patrick Crayton, and the way he blew up Pittsburgh's Willie Parker a couple yrs back. |

My favorite moment was one he wasn't directly involved in. Back in 04 when we were playing the Eagles and Pinkston whiffed on a pass over the middle because Ryan Clark was bearing down on him. You KNOW he thought it was Sean Taylor!

Re: What is your favorite thing and the thing you will always remember about Sean Tay
Mine is when he made the pro bowl I was thinking he does not know how to play in the pro bowl. Then he leveled the punter and I just smiled knowing I was right. The reason I say he does not know how to play in the pro bowl is because he did not know how to play football at 75% or how to hold back. He played 100% all of the time.

My favorite memory of Sean was in the game against dallas in Dallas on a monday night in 05 Right as I thought it was over (now yes this was after the first santanna moss TD) with that pass to the outside all of a sudden Taylor came up and took that reciver to the freaking woodshed!

And this is probably why you should stop talking.

My favorite thing about Taylor was his passion for the game and the way he hit other players, he brought so much excitement to the game.

Re: What is your favorite thing and the thing you will always remember about Sean Tay
Okay, normally I'm a big sportmanship guy and believe hard play needs to stay between the lines and am never a fan of cheap shots BUT...
The Skins were playing the Eagles (not sure which game), Owens has just dropped a pass and is walking back to the huddle - As he walks past ST, Sean just smacks him upside the head with a wicked forearm shiver. Owens just took it like a beaten puppy - you could almost see him say, "yes sir - please may I have another". Unfortunately, the ref was standing right behind ST and flagged him for it. As I said, normally I don't condone this stuff at all and I probably shouldn't look on that moment fondly. But I guess my disgust for TO runs that deep and I just loved how ST beat the crap out of him.

Re: What is your favorite thing and the thing you will always remember about Sean Tay
Sean Taylor played every game in top gear...he always left it all on the field...he brought an excitement and an energy to the game that was such a treat to watch...I actually didn't mind so much when the Skins were on defense, because I knew I was gonna see ST layin' the wood! :headbange
RIP, Sean...you'll be missed... ![]() |
