I to am VERY happy with what JZ has brought.
HOWEVER, as has been pointerd out, it is early, AND at this point in time, this is still basically Gibbs team

In terms of Zorn inheriting a team that appears to be on it's way, that's starting to be a trend around the league these days. Wade Phillips inherited a great team, or at least a team with great talent, ditto Norv Turner in San Diego. And who can forget Chucky down in Tampa a few years ago after Dungy departed. But for every coach that get's set up with a good team, I guess there are two more that go to perennial losers.

Whatever the case may be with JLC, this thread is way more enjoyable than any of his blogs.

I must say that I'm not a big fan of the whole "inheriting a team" cliche. I mean, even if Zorn did inherit "Gibbs' team", he still has to coach them to succeed. Yes he may have a leg up on getting a playoff team with most of its starters back, instead of getting a losing team. However, Zorn still has to coach them and overcome the setbacks that prevented this team from going deep into the playoffs. In Chucky's case in Tampa Bay, yes he may have inherited a good team from Dungy, but he still had to coach them to the playoffs and the SB. I bet if Zorn has a losing season, no one will say that he inherited Gibbs team.

I believe if Gibbs treated people like morons he wouldn't be as respected today as he has been.

Why can't some people just let it die and say it's on to something else. Sorry, it just sounds like a bit of sour grapes to me coming from JLC. I enjoy reading his blogs and find myself looking for them anytime there might be some big news coming, but this, imo, is quite unprofessional of him.
