The bigger question for me is how many hits does Campbell have to absorb before Zorn adds additional help to protect the passer? The 2nd half of the year, Zorn's protection schemes are reminding me of Spurrier's when Patrick Ramsey was getting killed.

Sorry but when its that cold out its their job to keep warm so they are ready when they have to go back out onto the fied. Thats why they have heated benches and heaters on the side lines. Cold handed QB's and WR's does not make a very good combination.

I really can't blame him all that much. I would love to point the finger but John Madden says it best. We have a good team not an elite team. We can beat good teams but not great or elite teams.

I laugh at you Colt Brennan haters. You're the same guys who didn't wanna bench Brunell for Campbell. The tables will turn.

Re: Zorn has to take some blame

From what I've seen in the 6 losses we were outcoached. Our offense is noninovative, and shall we say Spurrier-esk (not adjusting to provide the pass protection and running plays for his team). Players that have been drafted to fill a need can't seem to get on the field or in some cases activated. Under Joe Gibbs we would have never ran out of lineman! That was insane!! You have Fabini, Rinehart, Davis and James not active while Tyron, Jackson, Fincher, and Brennan are in. That doesn't make any sense. Then he doesn't play argubly his best player on the team because he hasn't practiced and he forgot about him?

Lastly I listened to the Raven's defensive players in the post game and Reed stated that they had figured out their offense... how can that happen with a first year coach? I think Zorn is seriously overwhelmed and his coaching like a rookie player has hit a wall... what do you think?

I think he's trying to make a point. Did we see any communication b/n JC, CP, SM, ARE, & the offensive line? Did we see any "rallying the troops" by our leaders? It looked like someones mom died over there.

We should keep this in mind. From someone who knew a thing or two about West Coast Offenses

"There's no mystique to the West Coast offense," Walsh said from San Francisco. "You need some firepower to go with it. Right now the Giants don't have that. Jim is going to need some time and some players."

FOR FASSEL, WEST COAST CAN'T FIND HOME

Re: Zorn has to take some blame

I certainly do not see the team make many adjustments. One must adjust the blocking schemes if the team cannot block the defense--if you want to throw the ball as much as Zorn seems to want to then you must make protecting the quarterback a top priority. I was surprised to see no back sets last night after the last four weeks and the multiplicity of sacks this offense has taken

People thought this was a stretch but clearly some players are upset.

I think we are getting outcoached as well. I do think though that this is not in any way a direct result of what Jim Zorn is doing. It may be a result of what Jim Zorn is NOT doing.

Zorn is sort of a bizarre character, and there's some decisions he makes where it's hard to follow exactly what he is trying to accomplish, but I think he's a good coach.

Now, just because the head coach is doing a good job DOES NOT MEAN we aren't getting outcoached. I think Blache (Baltimore game not withstanding) was really being outcoached in the prior five games. I don't think any of the offensive assistants have earned their pay whatsoever, maybe Stump Mitchell. I mean, you look at the places where we've seen player development on the offense...it's all been in the offensive backfield. And that's Zorn and Mitchell. I'm NOT blaming any one coach, but saying that Zorn might want to be more clear with what he is expecting from his assistants.

Re: the blocking schemes, only Baltimore and Pittsburgh have really broken down our schemes. They just so happen to be the two best defenses in the NFL. Probably not a coincidence. Being outcoached does not always imply bad coaching.
