Awesome; I remember everyone wanting him for awhile now. I can't say that I'm extremely familiar with the Colts special teams, but it's gotta be who we've had for awhile.

Good move indeed. Finally some stability in the punting game.

This is the front office giving us one last dose of sanity before we eff it all up tomorrow.

Good thing we didn't waste a draft pick on a punter last year.

Oh, wait...nevermind. SKINS 2 NASTY

i love me some good punting, we can finally take advantage of the field position battle which i think is real important in those close games.

go skins!!

I hope the Redskins curse doesn't effect him.

The one where we sign a kickass player, they come to our team and start sucking. I'm always afraid of that.

Come on now drave...that's not really true. Only a few have fallen under that spell. Remember such gems as John Riggins? How about Doug Williams? Or even Clinton Portis? Everyone has their share of busts, mainly due to over valueing. (aka: Dana Stubblefield)
Still, nice to hear from you.

ps- is you sig my quote from another thread?

True. But everyone's already hyping Smith, so if he falls below expectations... Let's just say, when it rains it pours.

And yeah! lol I was gonna quote you on it till I realized it was a widely used quote.

He likely will fall below expectations, cause a lot of times we have too high expectations. Hunter is a solid punter though. A lot times his "average" punt is dropped down cause the Colts offense was so good, he had less field to work with. It's no big deal, we needed a solid punter, and we got one. Hopefully he won't be run out of town when he shanks his first punt.

I saw that quote and thought the timing was a bit odd. It made me laugh. True, I didn't coin the phrase, but I do like it.

Good signing. He'll beat out Johnson in camp, and he's 31.
