This is a topic for me and probably many redskins fans that have brought a what the hell after the coaches said he would play OLB.. So I decided to take a closer look to the third game which is the dress rehearsal and the game that would give him enough camp time to get a little used to the position.

Also many members were raving about his game and said well I have to take a closer look. If you know me from the years I've posted here I don't come here to trash your team or players I come here to discuss football because I like it and sometimes I agree with how the team is going and how it looks and sometimes I don't.

I try to bring an outside look, not a fan look.

And again I'm not saying the guy sucks or that the would never be a good OLB, and I understand that your team has a need for an OLB and has 2 DE but from a team that had zero pass rush last year I thought it would be best to use him in what he's best at all the time.

And if you came to a dallas board and started a thread about any player that had a real observation about it and not just trash talking I would welcome it. Heck I'm the first to critic the problems of my team starting with Zero Depth at any position.

If you don't question the moves your team and front office does than why do you have a board I believe the basis of a board it's to question why they do what they do and not just accepted not only because they're coaches means they have all the answers or they don't make mistakes.
Friend:
1) I believe that your questions about pass rush were answered in responses above. You will see that responses describe scenarios in which Orakpo is contributing as much, or even more, to the pass rush from the LB position as he would from DE. So you can easily read how your question was answered.

2) I believe that if you read enough, you will see plenty of questioning of the front office here on the Warpath. You can easily read these critiques.

So the way to solve all of your problems on this thread is to read and listen to others. It is that easy, or should be that easy anyway.

Why draft a Player with HUGE pass rushing skills and use him as a cover LB... why not draft a LB then.
You don't get it because you're a Cowboys fan.

He WILL be pass rushing from both positions this year. Switching him between the positions keeps him on the field for more plays, plus we're deeper on the D-line than LB currently, so he can fill a need while allowing another good DLman to get on the field. He's proven he can play LB, he's fast and I disagree about him looking lost, he did not give up any big plays and was in on a lot of tackles, as well as in the QB's facemask.

By playing him at LB on some plays, we can get more talent on the field besides him and also use his talents the way they should be.

He's quick, he will still be used as a DE but primarily as a hybrid. He's very athletic. He can ( and has shown) he can rush the passer but from what i have seen he seems to be a natural at LB.

4 pages explaining something pretty basic to a Cowboys fan, c'mon people how did we fall for this?

It's simple, Rak killed two birds with one stone. He's athletic and coachable enough to play LB and DE, so why not should be the real question.

Yeah, really....

Someone go to the Cowboys site and start a thread asking "I still don't get why Jerrah would order Wade to use Romo as a holder."
