TW had been in the league for a solid year and he had been caught 3 times. Is anyone else really really worried about that? And while some may say a 4 game suspension for getting caught smoking weed 3 times may be overkill thats what the rule is. I wonder what the rule is for the inevitable 4th time.
It's amazing that people don't realize 3 positive tests in the NFL is a years suspension, not 4 games. If there was no lockout they'd be gone for a year. But because of the lockout, they made a deal that tw and fd only have the two post lockout positive tests count, so it's 4 game suspensions for both.

I wouldn't trade him yet, but Shany has to have a come to Jesus conversation with both of these jackasses. Bottom line, is getting high more important to them than being part of the team's future? If so, then they have to go.

Wow, he is. Just checked the Dvr for today's game and he has the c on his chest. I gotta eat some crow on that one, I thought there was no way he was a captain. I def. agree he should give up the patch now.

They better stop getting high or they'll end up like Towlie.

Rather than label myself a hypocrite in the future, I'll say:

The only thing they did wrong was that they get caught. So long as they beast on the field and don't get caught again(either by stopping the use of the drug or being more careful), I don't care. I cheer for them to win games, not be saints.

Geez. By the way some of you all are acting, you'd think they got caught smoking crack.

I'm not saying what they did was right or that they deserve a slap on the wrist, they broke policy, they deserve punishment.

But to demasculate (is that a word?) them and say they're stupid and immature seems a bit harsh. I'd much rather have them failing a drug test than out raping women or hitting the pipe.

People make bad decisions and these 2 are obviously in need of a mentor of some sort within the organization to get their heads into being a professional player in the NFL and stop making poor off the field choices.

They did a little more than break policy, they broke the law, for a 3rd time. They are stupid, especially when they knew they were going to be tested. I agree with what you said, they need help to get themselves straightened out.

Freddy D has an active twitter account. He hasn't tweeted since the suspension came down though. This shit happens on every team. These guys were super careless and didn't give a shit about getting tested. Bottom line. Redskins having been getting high for as long as I've been following the team as a kid. And I have direct knowledge of some of the old school dudes getting high on a regular under Gibbs. But whatever.

I think this all goes with a culture of losing, quite frankly. When you're losing you simply care less. When you're winning your attitude is different and you're more focused. I suppose they go hand in hand.

Re: Report: Fred Davis, Trent Williams suspended four games

1. Stupid, stupid, stupid. "When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways." 1Corinthians, 13:11. Time to grow up guys.

2. NFL - Chill out. After stomping on a guy's head, a two game suspension for a guy who has multiple in game unsportsmanlike behaviour. Twice that for a little recreational drug use, some of which clearly occurred when the players were locked out? C'mon man!

I get it. Rules are rules - if the players didn't like'em, should have negotiated to change them. On one hand, the owners are paying these guys top dollar and want to make sure there "employees" are able to perform at their peak. On the other hand, it's not like these guys are driving buses, trains or planes or are otherwise responsible for public safety - if their illegal activities either get them arrested or affect their on field performance, fine cut them and void their SB, etc.

Guys in their 20's do dumb things (particularly if they are rich and priviledged). Don't matter how strict or how loose the rules are - they will find a way to break them. If they get caught, however, they get the consequences. It's part of growing up.

As I said at first - Stupid, Stupid, Stupid.

1) Suh didn't stomp on the guy's head.

2) This was their THIRD offense. They had 2 other chances that went unpunished so this isn't like a first time offense deal.
