Here is a paragraph from that link:

"Hurd, a former star player with Northern Illinois University, allegedly told the agent he already distributes four kilograms of cocaine a week in the Chicago area, but wanted to up that to five to 10 kilos and 1,000 pounds of marijuana — per week."

That is 26 tons of marijuana per year he is allegedly distributing.

At 4 Kilos a week, that is just a tad over 450 lbs of cocaine a year he is allegedly distributing.

Yeah, I read those prices he negotiated. Dude could have turned that around for serious profit. I guess that's why these guys get caught up in it- they make enough from the league to buy wholesale... in turn making 10 times the initial investment.

Unlike stocks, the drug trade isn't volatile (value-wise)... but also unlike stocks, you're dealing with those pesky FBI agents and turf wars.
