Re: Not good Taylor news
If he is arrested for assault (and he's convicted or pleads out), he's definately getting jail time. In fact, if he fired the weapon at people, he could be charged with attempted murder.

Re: Not good Taylor news
Release him? Hell no, that's crazy.
SC is going to love this story. And it gives him plenty of reasons to bash Taylor. If Taylor is involved he's such an arse. |

Re: Not good Taylor news
Man, this makes Gibbs look bad too. After he went out and stated he put so much time looking for good character. I mean, even if he isn't guilty in this, his name is already synonymous with negativity. If I were Gibbs, I'd kick his ass to the curb. We can live without him for sure. Of course, there is the possibility that Jerry Jones hired one of the Cowboys to pose as Taylor and do this. We all know all the Cowboy players own guns.

Until today I thought his antics were just immature and selfish. I thought he would grow out of them. But now he had to go and take it to a new level.

Re: Not good Taylor news
And you guys said this offseason was going to be boring....man, you all disappoint me! <joking>
This is very bad news for us, but when one door closes another one opens. Our team can move on without Taylor - but we sure could use someone of his caliber in our secondary. I'm hoping all of this is nothing more than a misunderstanding, but I have a feeling it isn't. It's a shame and an embarassment. This kind of behavior is reserved for Dallas Cowboy players, not Washington Redskins players!

Re: Not good Taylor news
so far i havent heard of the arrest warrent for ST. so lets pray this goes away.
also firing a weapon in the air is one thing, firing a weapon at an occupied home is a bigger fuckup. the nfl will suspend him and lets not forget the time he will spend in prison. we actually might be able to get money back if doesnt show up because he is in jail. i hope he is extradited to a prison in dallas for a little bootylove. |

Re: Not good Taylor news
if the reports on this are true, he's crossed the point of return with the team. There is bound to be legal mumbo jumbo in his contract that if he did do these incredibly asinine things, then his contract could and should be completely null and void if the team choose to do so. This is going to be a somewhat similar stain on the franchise as to what the Ravens went through with Ray Lewis except not as severe since no one was hurt much less killed. I was watching Kellen Winslow Sr talking about how 21 year olds make mistakes in relation to his son's accident, but this past year Taylor has taken moronic behavior to a completely different level all be it by somewhat small doses until this. I know some others have posted and thought about no more "the U" guys and while I understand that not every player from there will be a headache, I frankly don't want to ever have the problem of waiting to find out which ones will be morons. Sean Taylors physical gifts cannot be questioned but despite his strong apparent upbringing, the kid seems to be without a hamster on the wheel upstairs. As infuriated as we fans are about this, I can't even begin to imagine what Gibbs and company are thinking about this and their selection of him last year. And to think we thought the team had it bad with our leading reciever wanting out, no cap room, and players not returning the calls of the head coach.

I take back everything I've said about ST and the shooting incident. I'm going to reserve judgment until more comes out on his involvement in the shooting.

Re: Not good Taylor news
Sean Taylor is a badass.
However he's just finished his rookie year, gained a starting job, signed a 7 year deal last season and let the Cowboys beat us at the end of the game last year over Christmas. No reason this guy shouldn't be at mini camp. He thinks he is above the game. I'll take Coach Gibbs and Coach Williams over Taylor any day. The simple fact that Taylor hasn't called Coach Gibbs is totally ridiculous to me. You think I wouldn't call Gibbs back? And he hasn't paid me millions of dollars! I will reserve judgement on this latest shenanigans til it's all sorted out, but honestly it doesn't surprise me. This stuff happens so often to gifted athletes. We can win without Taylor, but I hope we don't have to. He is an incredibly gifted badass but is not perfect. Many times last season he was outta position. Hence the loss to the Cowboys. Get your ass to Redskins Park. Immediately or you'll probably end up on the couch with some dudes watching games on Sundays real soon. Love Taylor, but he needs to talk to Jim Brown asap.
