The team didn’t mismanage his cancer they non managed it. What kind of evidence would there be of TW repeatedly telling team doctors about it and them repeatedly shrugging it off? Bruce Allen certainly isn’t going to admit it. In his world things were always honky dory in Redskins world.

The NFL makes a huge deal of crucial catch every year. Several players were highlighted through the month of October where players were diagnosed and given remedy. The Skins (led by Allen and Hess I believe) basically did the minimum necessary for TW. I don't believe that Snyder would have ignored TWs cancer if he was aware of it early on. WE can't know for sure who knew what when, but TW and DS do, and IF they agree that Allen and Hess bear the brunt of blame then I hope Rivera brings Trent back.

We know the teams medical staff encouraged him to get it checked out by a specialist. We know that Trent failed to do so. We know that when he finally did follow their advice and things looked serious, Snyder gave Trent his private jet and sent him to get treated by the best Dr. in the country in Chicago. We know that team medical staff visited with Trent there. Yet despite the fact that all this happened, Trent said the team told him the growth was nothing to worry about, that he incurred $200,000 in travel expenses to go to Chicago, and that no one visited him. So someone is lying. The Redskins and NFLPA wanted an independent investigation to discover the truth, but Trent Williams denied their request. All the signs point to Trent as being the one that was lying. If he was telling the truth, he SHOULD have filed a grievance with the NFLPA AND a medical malpractice suit. But instead, he just wants to make all sort of accusations without allowing anyone else to verify if they are true or not.

Its takes a person of incredibly low character to behave in such a way. If we want to change the culture on this team, we need to get rid of guys like that.

Even if you're inclined to ignore all the warnings and believe Trent is 100% telling the truth and is the victim here, there's been so much drama, as part of a culture change, its best to give everyone a clean slate. If we trade trent, we get cap relief and valuable draft picks to build this team for the long-term. Trent gets a new contract with his new team and a fresh start. Its a win-win for everyone involved.

The whole cancer thing and Bruce Allen being a tool is just forgotten history. We need Trent Williams to fill a critical piece of our OL. Everyone makes mistakes. Forget what happened and offer him the guaranteed money for a couple years. He was an elite and respected warrior on this team when it was a dysfunctional, ridiculous dumpster fire.

Hire him and move on. He’s still a very good OT , and he’s had a year to recover and rebuild his physique. We can fix this OL if the team makes the right moves and bringing back TW is one of them.

Fair enough we had lame duck coaching all season. I just think a 6-7 win improvement would be incredible. Many of the areas that determine success, turnover ratio, point differential were abyssal this year and while it will gravitate toward the norm.

That’s been the history for Del Rio when he takes over as DC. Massive improvement in defensive performance in year one.

Then with the cap space we have we’ll likely solve problems along the offensive line, which combined with Guice, Bryce Love, and Peterson still under contract it spells the foundation for a ground and pound.

I pretty much expect 8-8 or better at the moment, understanding that expectation includes a bit of a smart spending spree.

Given we have Haskins, McLovin, Guice, Bryce and hopefully take Young, all on rookie contracts, do we have enough cap space to splash out in FA picking up OL, TE and secondary? If we could, I can't help thinking that gives us opportunities to draft BPA all down the draft order.

We’ll have lots of cap money once they dump/trade all the old and hurt FA. Out of our top player contracts in 2019, six out of the top eight didn’t finish the season due to injury.

Players like Norman, Reed, Davis, McCoy, Keenum,Richardson and even Kerrigan and Moses may be traded/dumped or renegotiated (Kerrigan).

That frees up the acquisition of some new talent. I doubt they will hire any FA over 30 except at QB and maybe Penn as backup OL. I see Hooper as the prime FA target at TE. Resign Trent Williams, Scherff, Flowers, Penn. They’ll bring in FA at WR, CB and S and backup QB.

Draft will be Chase Young, OT (replace Moses), TE, DB, QB (project)

This team will get younger, less injured history, more talent for less money. Gone are Bruce Allen’s ridiculous contracts.

Unfortunately, the free-agent pickings are very slim. Who do you want?

A good list, how much would you pay for Hooper?

Rumor is Greg Olsen could be released soon would you take him too, I would.

I'd go with that list too but not Olsen. Too many injuries recently, could be Reed mk 2.

Unlikely to see FA but I'd go for Henry. Hitting his prime and thanks to Rivers getting worse last season, maybe slightly undervalued.

4-5 years, ~$10M-$12M/year, guarantee ~1/3 of it.

I would pass on Olsen.
