Re: Redskin/Ravens Scrimmage Discussion
Yeah I also agree, I think we should keep brunell for this year, and put Bramlet or Palmer there next year. You can't hold to much to any of this yet though. I think we'll really know a lot more about these guys come week 3 of preseason. Did Golston or Montgomery play? I know I saw Salavea gettin his ass handled and then at the end of the scrimmage he was walking off the field with his jersey tied up with his gut hanging out

Re: Redskin/Ravens Scrimmage Discussion
Okay Matty, I agree maybe some of us are being a bit quick to judge a SCRIMMAGE. I will hold out hope for next week, but with all due respect and, if my memory serves me correct, weren't you one of the guys who last year would say that some of us were over reacting during the first third of the season when we sucked. And then the second third of the season was in the books, and we still sucked. By the time the last third of the season had started, this team had already mailed it in. I don't know about you and some others around here, but with this supposed high powered coaching staff, and great talent we allegedly have on paper, I just expected a little bit more. Especially after going 5-11.............

Half of what happend wouldn't have happend if you could make contact with the QB. I seriously would act as if this game never happend.

Re: Redskin/Ravens Scrimmage Discussion
golston and montgomery did play. evans got killed by that rookie from md. smoot played good. hopefully we will play better in the first preseason game. JC better play at least a half. We have to have him sharp. No more babying these guys they dont deserve it. They havent won anything to be pampered. Need to be more physical.

Re: Redskin/Ravens Scrimmage Discussion
Why is everybody complaining? This is a scrimmage, not even a preseason game! To those who havent noticed, those were our 3rd and 4th stringers in there. They arent even roster hopefuls...they're practice squad hopefuls. So dont start losing your mind about blown coverage or bad angles or not getting to the quarterback. You shouldn't expect guys who werent even drafted to step up.
This goes to mostly everyone in the 11 on 11 drills...except Collins...he has no hope. |

Re: Redskin/Ravens Scrimmage Discussion
I looked at the game again and I would like to conclude by saying this: Their back-ups were better than ours. Nuff said.

Re: Redskin/Ravens Scrimmage Discussion
i agree 21, this team needs to step it up. Our regulars have to play more to get some confidence. No more crap like last season.

I think it would be GW if anyone, I don't think we need to worry to much about the Offense

Re: Redskin/Ravens Scrimmage Discussion
I don't know, but I see a lot of people leaning way to far into this scrimage. I had a buddy ask me to come over and watch it with him, but I told him I had to do my hair. There could be a number of reasons why the D didn't look strong, or why Mark was on the field (probably to knock the dust off). We are getting all fired up about nothing. Take a breath, drink a beer and get ready for the season. I'll watch the pre-season games, but only because it's Redskin football, but I won't be starting any threads over what I see. I won't start to panic until week 3 at least.
