2. What money from ST? 3. I don't think Campbell's problem is that he doesn't listen to Saunders. It's that he's still trying to grasp the offense. 4. Bring in some competition 5. We can put a man on the moon, but... Seriously, this is really unlikely 6. More wins, fewer losses? I think we can all agree with that

Re: What Changes Should We Make Going Into 08?
VERY GOOD we have done wonders with our crew under Williams
Did you see the Seattle LB's move ? We need that as Rocky is out QUOTE=heybigstar;403231]I know the need for a LB has been mentioned by a few of you, but I am surprised its not higher at the top of the list. Fletcher is set, but Mcintosh is a ? and I don't see Washington having too many more years left in the tank. I would like to add a LB with one of our first 3 draft picks. Lets fix this problem now.[/QUOTE] |

Re: What Changes Should We Make Going Into 08?
williamson isn't the WR you want. he's terrible, and its not the vikes, it's him.
CJ, bryant, etc are much much better options. we don't need another worthless depth receiver at $$$$. |

True, troy williamson is horrible, total bust that would be the worst free agent signing ever if we ended up bringing him in

Re: What Changes Should We Make Going Into 08?
Yesterday's game was to me a case of our injuries (and of course, ST's death) catching up w/us. The D did a good job overall, (they had to punt 7 times) but Seattle was able to exploit it enough. On O, our weak right side of the line, was manhandled. Can't blame Heyer for not being able to block Kerney. Fabini was run over a couple times by blitzing LBs. Our Wr's couldn't get much space.
So to answer the question this thread poses; I think we need to devote 1 or 2 of our highest draft picks to the D (we will be missing our top picks from 04-06 when the season begins) & the rest on the offense, mainly the O line. On D we have a lot of needs, DE, OLB & CB. On O, if Jansen & Thomas are healty, we are only a player or two away from being really explosive. In free agency or trades, WR might be our best bet. I can't see the front office being able to land replacements that are even 50% the quality of Rogers, Taylor & Rocky, but on the offensive side of the ball, a couple moves & draft picks for depth, could make our offense the dominant unit on the team in 08. |

Let Joe Gibbs retire.the guy is a legend and hall of famer but he's like a charoit in a los angeles freeway. He's out of his league at this point.he did lead us to a great finish dont get me wrong but the fire isnt there.I would go for Cowher or even Billick.A coach that would make you accountable for your actions. Also Draft Calais Campbell young defensive end in this years draft. He would fit Williams scheme perfectly and compliment Carter on the other side.We need that strong pass rushing game that will allow us to compete against the N.F.C's best quarterbacks i.e. Romo,Manning and Mcnabb

2) what money? we're not getting any money. death is treated like being cut or retiring. all SB money is instantly due, and forward salaries are erased. 3) i have no idea what you're talking about. campbell did exactly what he was told to do. while he was in, portis and moss (and our OL) weren't playing well, and gibbs/al were forcing a very conservative gameplan on campbell. once todd came in, the offence completely changed and deep passes came more than one or twice a game. the COACHES need to give campbell the entire offence next year. 4) we have a good kicker (83%). If we wanted to draft one, gostkowski and crosby were the ones to get. while it is possible to get an upgrade there, it's not very likely, and we have MUCH higher priorities. 5) snyder's already looked into it (new stadium and a balloon roof kinda deal for fedex) to win superbowl bids. it's not happening any time soon though. 6) that's not really something you can control beyond preparing well, managing your roster and hoping for the best. |

It's sounding like someone is confusing real life with Madden up in here.

Re: What Changes Should We Make Going Into 08?
I want a kicker that consistantly kicks touchbacks, makes 99 percent of his kicks, and also he's the punter,is that too much to ask?

Re: What Changes Should We Make Going Into 08?
Forget DEPTH at offensive line we need starters. Randy Thomas has been injured TWO years in a row. How can some of you fans just expect the injury prone players to always be your starter. Jon Jansen is the same way. Injury prone. Neither player will finish a season if the final 2 are any indication.
Use the first 2 draft picks on an offensive right tackle and a right guard. We lost the game because of a number of reasons including Cooleys dropped pass at the 2 yard line. It wouldn't bother me if the skins drafted a tight end with the first pick. Cooley catches 70 balls a year but he gets thrown to 100 times. We need a Jason Witten tight end who never drops critical passes. |
