FINALLY a Hog gets in!!! This is very well deserved, and frankly, Joe Jacoby should be in as well.

Re: Russ Grimm Elected Into Hall of Fame Class of 2010

This is a great thing for the "Hogs" of the 80's. Joe Jacoby deserves it as well. Maybe he will be next from those 80's teams.

Which defensive players do you feel as though should make it from those teams.

How about Charles Mann, Wilber Marshall, or Dexter Manley?

DM will probaly never get in because of his past with Substance abuse, but if LT can make it can't anyone?

I think Grimm just may be the last representative of the Skins glory years of the 80's/early 90's

Glad Grimm got in, hopefully this will help Jacoby. Interesting point about GC (Clark)getting into the Hall he posted better numbers w/average QB's. Within the next 3 yrs B-Mitch will have his name called.

He does have great returner numbers, but they are not getting him into the hall of fame. The returners of the past decade broke all of his returns for tds records. First it was Dante Hall then D. Hester , and now Joshua Cribbs.

I don't see BMitchel as being deserving to be a HOFer. I don't think he will ever get mentioned.

I'm a fan of the guy too guys. He did great things for us back in the day, but he isn't deserving of the NFL HOF.

Ha ha, not so long as Peter King is on the selection committee.

Brian Mitchell is #2 in all purpose yards in the history of the NFL, how can he not be up for a HOF vote? He paved the road for the Dante Halls, Devin Hesters and Joshua Cribbs of today and yesterday.

Im not sure about BM getting in . KO returns are usually 20 yards before contact with a defender . Had BM had a few big years on Offense , maybe ?

I have no problem with B Mitch getting in. Realistically, though, he was primarily a special teamer and those folks always get snubbed. For example, Ray Guy is arguably the greatest special teamer to ever play the game and he is still waiting for his Canton invitation.

Just reserved my hotel. Looking forward to another road trip to Canton, though I suspect there will be a lot of Cowboy fans this time around. Would be nice if Redskin fans would show up -- like Steeler fans at FedEx.

Skins fans dominated Canton when Green & Monk got in, I think we'll show up strong again for Grimm

Who makes it in first? Another Original Hog or Chris Samuels?

Going to be interesting to see if Samuels gets in. He's going to be eligible right at the same time as Walter Jones, Orlando Pace, and Jon Ogden, and just a bit after Willie Roaf. The hall is already overrun with OTs, and with that overload of players at the position, Samuels might even fail to be a finalist.

But now that Green, Grimm, and Monk are in, he's got a better chance than anyone from the old Gibbs teams.
