That's really the meat and potatoes of it. I'm glad Hall is back and I'm glad he has stepped it up.

i think the worst i've ever accused hall of being is above average, i've always liked him.

Guys like Sherman for instance.. cmon bro you wouldn't look as good as you do if Earl Thomas (a muschamp texas guy man I wish we had) AND Kam Chancellor are zonin out up top ready to jump. Its soooo important he has an elite S to let him play zone. Halls a zone guy. Let him do what he does best it will look like that game vs Manning this past year a lot more often.
Excellent post and excellent football thinking.

I'm glad we re-signed Hall....I wouldn't mind the Redskins making a trade for Tracy Porter to team with Hall since Wilson doesn't appear to be coming back......

Re: Redskins resign DeAngelo Hall to 4 Year Deal

It occurred to me. Given that we still have practically no safeties on the roster, could they be giving thought to moving Hall there? Probably not, dude had a good year last year at CB. And it's not like Tracy Porter and David Amerson make for amazing starting CBs.

But still, the lack of moves at safety thus far at least make me wonder a little if this isn't part of the plan.

Given what some of the CBs have gotten in FA this deal looks pretty solid now.

In some packages maybe, but overall since he's clearly our best corner it wouldn't be the best move.

I would hate that. Last year was the first year he finally got it all figured out and played up to his mouth. If we played him at safety after that I feel like we would be starting all over with him.

With Dallas signing Melton to what I consider a similar contract 4 yr 27 for Hatcher, 4 yr 29 for Melton. Given that Dallas can walkaway after one year, where we have to wait 2 years, which guy would you rather have this season?

edit: sorry, thought i put this in the Hatcher thread

Neither. I'd take Linval Joseph.

This one's simple in my mind. Hatcher. He's not coming off an ACL like Melton is.
