Roberts going with the Lions

Lions signed WR Andre Roberts, formerly of the Redskins, to a one-year contract.

He previously visited the Bills and Saints. Roberts has been productive on special teams, returning a kick 99 yards for a touchdown against the Panthers last season. Offensively, however, Roberts was a non-factor in Washington last year, catching just 11 passes for 135 yards in nine contests. The 28-year-old gives Detroit some depth behind starters Golden Tate and Marvin Jones.

Sorry, but he sucked on ST, too. Other than the one TD, what did he do? He was a terrible PR.

Eagles have proven they’re serious — about spending money | ProFootballTalk

According to ESPN Stats and Information, the Eagles have now doled out over $280 million in guaranteed money this offseason, nearly double any other team including the drunken sailors of free agency, the Giants.

LOL, now that's a shot. +1 PFT

So ... for your starting QB position, you have a very competitive situation between an eight-year journeyman with a history of mediocrity and a second-year, 7th round pick with no career starts.

Pretty sure that's not a good thing.

It seems more than any other team for 2016 as Eagles doled out the dough, in particular for Fletcher Cox.

... and now the long dry stretch for those of us who are true addicts. You know, scrounging around CSN Redskins, CBS Sportsline, etc. for any pro football news and voraciously reading any article about anything pro football related. Podunk reporter writes a column comparing TE depth charts of the AFC West, oh yeah, I am reading it. Talking head writes puff piece article discussing the developing importance of swing tackles since 2010 - yup, first thing I read with my morning coffee. Forty-two days until training camp opens; Eighty-eight until opening day. (Got that from CSN). I ... can ... make ... it.

At least this off-season we have a national election to keep us interested in important topics outside of football ...

Well ... sh**. I think I'll hide in a dark closet and curl up in the fetal position for the next 42 days.
