Re: Brown Frown Pregame Thread
Was on the Browns message board last night. They all seem to think that they are going to roll up some points on us and win.

Docston could be a bust..anybody remember M westbrook? WHY WHY with all the other needs did we use that pick on WR?? MAJOR BLUNDER that will hurt this team. Wr's can be had in the later rounds just like RB's . WE needed DL and OL bad.

Re: Brown Frown Pregame Thread
The draft is a gamble, this guy was rated the #1 receiver by some experts. Injuries happen, shit happens. Doesn't mean he's a bust, remember Art Monk?

Read this, OL future lineup. That's exactly why I want long at C and Kouandijo at LG. The future is now!!!

Re: Brown Frown Pregame Thread
Our matchups are good for this game. The strength of the Browns defense is against the run, but they don't rush the passer and their secondary is thin. What do we do well? Protect the passer and get open.
Meanwhile they have a very mediocre runner in Crowell and Terrelle Pryor has shown a little something, but he hasn't had to face a CB as talented as Norman. We're in pretty good shape. Like any NFL game it still comes down to turnovers, we have to take care of the ball. If we do, we'll be fine.

Re: Brown Frown Pregame Thread
Regarding Doctson it's pretty simple, he was the best player on SM's board at that pick. We're a whole 3 games into his career, simmer down.

Re: Brown Frown Pregame Thread
Like I said, it's still very early. Really we won't know much about this draft class until next year. But so far it's been disappointing. Especially Doc. His injury has lingered since rookie minicamp. Don't see how you can not agree with that so far.
If next year this time we have Fuller and Doc playing and playing well, along with Cravens then that would be a success. Still very possible. Long way to go on the 16 draft class... |

I like that. Or, you could put a salmon jumping and a bear about to eat him, and it could say sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes you're a stupid asshole.

Re: Brown Frown Pregame Thread
I can't say the draft class has been disappointing yet. My impression is Fuller is a player, but he's competing with Dashaun Phillips who simply beat him out. And you're not going to deactivate key special teams guys like Dunbar in favor of Fuller.
Now we'll get a chance to see Fuller with the injuries. I think he'll show he can play just fine. Doctson, that's just unlucky with the injury. Ionnidis, they like the way he moves but they knew he needed to put on a little bit of weight. I'll say the RB from Georgia, David Marshall? I was hoping for more out of him. Losing out to Rob Kelley was pretty lame.
