Absolutely. I will also be open to new gear only if the name is close to the Indian or Chief. If it is the Wolf or Retails forget it. No way I'm wearing that nonsense.

Re: Will You Still Wear Your Skins Gear After?

The answer is Yes...I will be wearing my Redskins hats shirts and jerseys.

Most of my Redskins stuff is from the the Glory year of the '80's and '90's. I also have a jersey from the '70's.

Eventually I will probably get some of the the gear from the new team monicker.

Hopefully the team won't be called Redtails...there are just too many bad jokes that could come out of that

Re: Will You Still Wear Your Skins Gear After?

Agreed...and let's be honest, if Redtails is chosen, it has racial implications or intentions...I thought the whole point of being forced to change the name was to get away from that.

I'm not saying they do not deserve the honor, but every report on the Redtails name has to emphasize their skin color, which takes away from their real achievements.

If I really thought the Redskins name was so offensive to so many people I would not wear it out. I've followed this for years and its a hand full of Indians and a ton of liberal media driving this.

So.... is wearing Skins stuff equivalent to wearing or displaying the confederate flag at this point?

It took over 100 years for the confederate flag to nationally be accepted as a symbol of hate so I think you're good.

I grew up in New England it was always considered disrespectful or I should say taboo. I am 47.

And it should have been sadly New England isn’t indicative of America as a whole on that issue. But I was referring to late 60s is when we really started considering it

yeah growing up in upstate NY even though there are plenty of rural areas seeing the confederate flag always felt wrong and frankly I always assumed it meant a racist lived there

I remember at like 10 or so visiting outer banks and seeing a cool in my 10 year old mind t shirt with a bunch of designs but on the back was a confederate flag in the design. My dad was like pick another.

Somehow I never correlated in my mind the confederate flag and the general lee; thinking back now it was disrespectful to put on the car.

We have to wait for this bombshell news to see if Snyder had slaves working in the stadium. Grounds crew maybe?
