Re: Redskins vs. Giants Official Game Thread
We got a long way to go people not dead yet. As far as Campbell I'd like to see improvement more he is seeming to decide when to run quicker and making better plays with his feet. But he does'nt always get great protection and if he did'nt have so many drops maybe he gains some confindence and loosens up the D. He was'nt great but I would'nt put it all on him, He needs more of a chance.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Official Game Thread
Man the game was'nt on t.v. where I am so I followed on line. I just saw the highlights and jesus we fucked ourselves the missed tackles cost so fucking much probly 13 points, We were in position to make many many plays that we did'nt. The fg miss really hit us hard, You can't discount what momentum can do. Just dumb shit allday Campbell had El open for a td and underthrew him all the penalties and Springs bumping Hall, This shit is correctable and you know this team only plays it's best when their hopes are all but over. We can still do it.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Official Game Thread
I agree with the record prognostication, but not too sure about benching JC yet. The problem is partially the system I think. If Gibbs was here JC would be statistically much better since his(Gibbs) passing game emphasized longer passing routes. WE do need to dump Thrash for sure, and maybe Randle El. We are paying too much for both for the output they are giving us.

If we can sqeak by Baltimore and Philly we might have a chance, but from what I saw Philly do to Arizona, I am apt to say that our season is toast.

I say let him finish the season out then have an open competition next preseason for the starting position at Qb like others have alluded to. Zorn really needs to reevaluate his system and tweak it to open the passing game up. The days of the classic West Coast Offense are gone. I know in the other thread I joked with The Goat about bringing Norv back as the OC, but that might not be so crazy as it sounds. We have way too much talent on offense to be sputtering like this!!!!!! |

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Official Game Thread
We really needed Norv to help us out, but he did not. Matt Ryan is a better QB than Jason Campbell right now, and that's hurting us.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Official Game Thread
I do think you should start offering temporary bans to those who can't analyze a game without first blaming the quarterback. I'm not talking about the people who have (correctly) pointed out that Jason Campbell has not had a good 4 game stretch, or the people who suggest that we might want to get deeper at the position in the off-season. I'm talking about the people who think he hasn't had a good season and looks like a bust.
I'm all for dissenting opinion, but making crap up IMO need not be tolerated. My favorite was the guy who suggested Campbell should be benched because he was "only average". By definition, admitting that he's better than 15-16 starting QBs in the NFL, but then suggesting that we need to find someone better amongst Colt Brennan and Todd Collins.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Official Game Thread
I really want to know where our WR's are, every time the ball was in the air 3 defenders were there. Can't anyone get open? I don't see how that is JC's fault, but I don't know, because how all the receivers look down the field. Really that was a disappointing loss.
