Re: 2011 NFL Draft

I think Kyle and Mike should see what they have to do in order to get Orton, he'd be a good fit in kyles offense

In 2006 I mocked the Bears mercilessly for their QB stable. Although Orton and Grossman are not the same players that they were in 2006, I will cry if we go Bears II.

You can watch Locker's pro day live now (he'll only throw)

Streaming Online - ESPN3

(shameless plug)

Speaking of shameless plugs. Who wants to take bets on one of the talking heads going on a rant about how great the SEC is during a pro day that's on the other side of the country?

Between Cutlers bad year in 08, I'm willing to bet that a big part of it was the personnel and the system. The main thing that all Bears QB's have proven is they can't carry a team thats completely depleted on the offensive end in terms of talent and coaching (at least before Martz showed up). Which isn't the worse thing. Only 3 or 4 QB's could have succeeded in that situation.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft

I think Kyle Orton is 10 times better than he was in 06, infact I'd take him over cutler now

Re: 2011 NFL Draft

Jake Locker about to throw. Remember though, he didn't go to an SEC school so he won't be as prepared as a Cam Newton or Greg McElroy. Pac 10 football is cute but he hasn't had to deal with SEC speed.

Wow, looking at these Washington lineman.....no wonder Locker had to run for his life. Big slow guys with terrible body comp.

I just went back and watched clips of Trent Williams pro day at OU last year and couldn't believe the difference in quality. Sure would be a huge help if Cook and Capers developed.

Trent Williams was a great LT at OU and showed how good he was last year, we are very lucky to have a great LT for the next decade. I just hope he's as good as CS was.

And one day we might even see Jake Locker throw. Who the heck are all these other scrubs? Let's see the damn QB throw. Now I understand. NFL scout = overrated boring job. Who in their right mind would enjoy watching a bunch of nobodies.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft

I like how Huard just said the redskins are the best fit for Jake and should trade back into the 1st!
