Rediculous? You don't think he will want more money as an established wide receiver? You can combine Lloyd and Randle-Els stats and they are well short of Moss. This will be an issue down the road.

thats 1 season. we are not talking about a guy that has had an incredibly productive carreer and as a result has a big ego (In Santana). Plus, we need to take the double teams off him...i think he'll take not having the double teams over "i want the biggest contract so i can get 2 catches a game cause they are double teaming me"

I totally agree. I can't see how Moss wouldn't feel upset about their signings and their respective contract numbers.

also, for what it is worth, the eagle fans are saying because the 10 mil is not up front it is a pretty good deal for both sides...

Do you know him personally?

If you set a team's receiving record you should be the highest paid guy and in today's nfl, agents use circumstances like this to help themselves and their client.

Re: Skins Signed Randle El

when Moss came here no one, including him, could have predicted those numbers. He got a pretty fair deal when he arived. I am sure it will be addressed in the future but i don't think he is going to have a big problem this up comming year. If moss pulls another season like last year why would we have a problem locking him up for a while? That is a big if, for all we know the numbers could be pretty well spread out.

If nothing had been done at the WR spot Moss would have be coverd by the D's best if not doubled! So the big winner is Moss with EL and Lloyd coming on board. The next big winner is Portis so that CB and S have to stay back. Not keying run only! Next a big winner is Burnell because he has all kind of weapons but comes with pressure to now get the job done. Last Al has never with KC had this kind of fire power. One more winner all of us!!!!!

I don't see a problem this year. You don't think Drew Rosenhaus will try to capitalize on that? You are right, I am in fantasyland on that one...

WOW!!!! Dude our WR corps just went to like possibly the best in the league. Randel El brings SOOO much more to the table too. KR/PR (see ya Antonio, that way we can keep Thrash), and someone who can run the Pass/Pass we used to run with Gardner. Man this is HUGE!

Re: Skins Signed Randle El

Randle El is the only other guy out there who could effectively run the wide receiver screen close to the way Moss does. Add to this the fact that he will be trying to make, the not the first, but the 3RD CORNER MISS!!! Moss had to fo it against the opposing teams best corner.

How can you prepare for this offense now? Did I mention we already have a pretty good running game?

Re: Skins Signed Randle El

Actually, what has me more excited is what this will do for the running game. With this many deep threats, do you think teams can afford to pull the safeties up to the line? They can't even cheat to one side of the field or the other. Look at what Saunders' system did for a relatively small back with Priest Holmes in KC. Portis is going to have so much real estate to run through that he may press a 2,000 yard season this year. Of course that is contingent upon a solid O-Line.

Next up: Senor Smokin' Sneakers.

new cba, inflation... generally there's a 5% increase per year, but the new cba makes it even higher.

the skins are smart here. sign guys long term and then if they break out you got them playing at or below value for a LONG time. since they're going after guys of reasonable quality, getting a bust is much much less likey.

you pay lloyd cause he can be the jump ball guy in the redzone and could possibly put up #1 numbers. you pay randle cause he can be a #4 qb, he's your primary KR/PR and a good receiver.

my guess is brown, thrash and jacobs are all nuked. that saves twice as much money as cutting patten. there's NO reason to ever cut quality depth, especially when its not that expensive.

If i made the depth chart now, randle would actually be the #4, him and patten are close in receiving talent, though obviously randle is more can do mroe than just catch.
