Another LB, lets hope Thomas Howard is still there at number 53. If Bobby Carpenter goes in the first I doubt if he'll be there b/c after that you have to take Howard at the OLB position.

fanmonster (which takes the average from over 50 updated mocks daily) had him as the 22nd highest rated player. nfldraftscout has him as the 18th best player. they're more accurate predictors.

still a reach at #8. If they like him that much then trade down even if for just a second day pick and still save a butt load of money when they sign him (something that seems to be a major concern fof Buff).

ARZ showed a lot of class not making Leinart wait.

I don't know if class has anything to do with it but Dennis Green just made another steal of a pick.

Too many people overthink things in the draft. The Texans definitely screwed up and I think the teams that needed a QB and passed up Leinart did as well.

he got culpepper (his #1 player rating that year) at #11, he got moss (his #1) at 17... he took boldin an fitz... denny understands talent (though the jj arrington pick was beyond stupid)

True. Leinart will manage the game well for ARZ and he's decent with the deep ball.

Actually I think Leinhart isn't that good on the deep ball. I think he has a good presence in the pocket but has Chad Pennington like speed on his release. It seems the ball takes forever to get to his receivers. The question is will Dennis Green utilize him in the same way that Carroll did.

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

leinhart at #10 is a slam dunk, and denny's already got him weapons. two #1 WRs and hakim (good #3) could end up there by tomorrow.

now they just need an RB and some linemen.
