From being the next LT to getting let go by two teams 2 years in a row.

Gotta love it.

Whe I first saw your moniker, I though it said "Over 37 pieces of Hair", which is funny in its own rite. If I had VIP money that would be mine.

Dick Cheney will convert to Wahabi Islam before Lavar ever comes back here.

He's undisciplined, melodramatic, narcissistic, and overrated, but he can also be a playmaker and a decent teammate.

I think a lot of people used to agree with me on this one. Before Arrington was cut, people loved the guy even though they recognized that he had some serious flaws. After Arrington was cut, people acted like the guy was worse than Warrick Holdman. Granted, he's had a serious injury, but one that he should be able to recover from.

So, to repeat, in my mind it all depends on his price and whether he can recover from his injury.
I hear ya bro and agree with alot of what you are saying. Theres a small part of me (small) that would love to see LA back in a Skins uniform. And I was as pissed as anyone about how everything went down, on both sides. But everyone loved him, with all his defects, when he was here cause he was 'family'. But when he left he should have kept his mouth shut on some things, like coach Gibbs. Bitch about snyder, lindsey, we all get that, but for me he took it too far. He didnt burn his bridges, he used weapons of mass destuction and blew them biatches up!! Pass a phyiscal, vet minimum and a gag order..........maybe.

Lavar's career is almost over. A needy team may sign him, but in a year or two he will retire.
The cartilage in his knee is a worn down. He can rehab the knee and play a game or two at his former level, but then his will knee swell and becomes painful. Then his level of play will suffer and will miss many games. This problem is not going to go away, it will only get worse the more he plays.

Lets not resign him.

Well I'm not a huge "Arrington lover", although I liked the guy when he was here, and he sure as hell didn't come even close to LT (he probaboly wasent even the best linebacker on his team since 2004), but I think that is a little misleading if someone didnt know what was going on.

I really think the Giants let him go strickly because of injury. I mean he had the same thing Jansen had in 2004, and we know that if he had gotten hurt in the regular season (Jasnen) he would have missed more time. In addition, Arrington also paid us to get out of his contract.

Now while he shouldnt even be mentioned within the same sentence as LT, I think it was a little more than teams just "let him go".

Re: Giants Cut Arrington, Emmons, and Petigout

When asked "who is the one coach you would not want to play for", didn't Lavar respond: Joe Gibbs? It's on the boards here somewhere from last year. He'll more than likely retire before he comes back here.

The Giants front office is probably like: "Got anymore awesome guys from the Redskins you want us to bring over, Antonio? Great suggestion! Go back to tackling people and leave the player acquisition to people who can read medical reports."

Not sure what you're getting at... he was let go, released, whatever, call it what you will. Regardless of the reasons the simple fact is he's without a team for the 2nd straight year. That was my point.

I heard him say it a couple of times, I know I saw it on Inside The NFL though. He was pretty angry after he left.

i totally agree with you. lavar was my favorite player during his time with the skins, i just hate the way it ended with him here. i'm not sure who was more at fault, i just didn't like it.

i too was at the 9ers game and your right, that stadium was totally electric when lavar got in the game.

These past year the Giants were hurt bad by injuries. I know Lavar has injury problems did the other guys cut have health issues which maybe the Giants are looking for some guys that can stay on the field?

Re: Giants Cut Arrington, Emmons, and Petigout

Seems like if the Giants thought Arrington was going to bounce back from injury and be ready to play in 2007, they would have kept him. Coughlin and Reese acknowledged that he was really starting to play well in the defense right before he got hurt. Must be that they don't like his chances to be healthy in 2007.

Makes sense, the guy is extremely injury-prone at this point in his career. So even if he had a clean bill of health going into 2007, he'd still be a walking medical emergency waiting to happen.

IMO, that's a sign that no team should want to sign him, let alone the 'Skins.

Our fans grew attached to him while he was here; but we have to realize that things change. Careers get derailed because of injuries. Everyone needs to accept that he's never going to be the same player again.

Funny thing about the Giants I'm starting to notice, seems like they always have a ton of guys injured throughout the year. Particularly along the linebacking corps. Weird.
