When did I say we should stay put during free agency? I think we should go after Karlos Dansby and Terrell Suggs, both of whom will cost a pretty penny. I think that's far more advisable than signing Haynesworth, switching to a 3-4, and having Jason Taylor and Andre Carter line up as DEs in that 3-4 alignment as you propose.

PS - You shouldn't talk tough on the internet and then proceed to blast others for talking tough on the internet. But thank you for recognizing that I am one kick-ass individual.

Signing Haynesworth is NOT the answer. We need to rebuild our O-Line. And while we need to strengthen our pass rush so that QBs dont have time to take a dump before they throw, Haynesworth will be entirely too expensive and is not worth the money in our situation. We need more than one piece.

I think we can all agree we should make an offer or Haynesworth. The question is at what price. I am not willing to pay the guy a riduculous deal and the does nothing but sits his fat a.. on the d line and does nothing but kick people in the face. That said I think we should make a standard 5 yr 35 mil w/ a 12 mil bonus and if he doesn't take it screw him.

:cool-smil

I couldn't agree more. We have many areas to address, and committing huge money to one player will lead to neglect in other areas. I want to see us build through the draft and modest free agent signings that don't break the bank.

Your logic is wrong. You're basically saying the only way we won't be an under achieving team is to sign free agents. That's not what you mean, is it?

BTW, Haynesworth could have character like Mother Theresa, and there are still probably 5 other DTs in the NFL that I'd rather have play here.

I am all for building through the draft, but we have so few draft picks, and have given away so many, that I hate to say it but we are going to need to sign some starting FA's. Maybe not Haynesworth, but starters.

I am saying, that since we started signing free agents, they have been washed up guys, I know we are out a 2 and 4, (i think) and a 7, this guy, (Haynesworth brings so much to the table, until, we would fill a need in that position for awhile, now drafting is nice, we may get 10 or 11 spot, so we can do well in the draft, but we can get at least a elite free agent like him, to fill that hole! thats what I am saying.
