I find it so funny that everyone wants to compare a 1st round talent like LJ to a mason who can seem to stay on the roster. come on man!

He was interviewed on the Dan Patrick show about 45 minutes ago and he seemed to be a very articulate, intelligent guy, kind of impressed by him. Too bad his actions speak louder.

He interviews well, seems to be a good guy, yet has always had problems dating back to when Vermeil said he'd have to "take his diapers off."

If the Skins call he will come running. They pay like twenty grand a game.

He's going to end up with the Texans.

Re: Jim Zorn says redskins could pursue L. Johnson

Zorn on comcast last night pretty much said HE wasn't interested in picking up LJ, saying that he would have to sit down w/him first & talk to him to make sure there wouldn't be a chemistry issue. He then said he figured LJ would be picked up before they could do that.

So it sounded like Zorn isn't in favor of grabbing him up, but of course he doesn't sign the checks.

Zorn has only 8 games left so why would it mattered what he thought about LJ.

The funniest thing about this is that Betts is hurt and there is a realistic chance Gainther may play. We should have made this move!

I say it is funny because the front office is soooo bad. They are making moves based on the fans opinions and the sizzle it will create, not making moves based on the best interest of the football team.

This is huge news. They aren't bringing him in, or considering him, to be a backup. This tells me portis' days as the marquee back are coming to an end. And with rumors of the uncapped off-season, Portis could be gone next season...
Now do you see why you shouldn't start threads based on rumors?

We do it all the time, Buster. Not all rumors fizzle out.

Besides, the Skins did consider him. That's not a rumor.

I for one am not that confident that Zorn is making those decisions anyway. Now that CP is ruled out of the Broncos game and dinged up, along with that ankle sprain that Betts has, I would not be surprised if Zorn got a call from VC telling him to go to the airport to pick up Johnson and give him a locker.

And Vinny would say to Zorn; "if he calls you some gay slur on the ride home from the airport, just ignore it."
