DM has been playing both sides so I really wouldn't take much stock in anything he says right now. He might say "I" won't ask for a release, but that doesn't mean his agent won't.

McNabb's future i guess i really cloudy. He is obviously not staying here, but next year is really interesting.

He could be the starter for one season on a team that has a young draft pick QB in waiting, similar to what they tried to do (and failed) with Jake Delhomme.

He is obviously not a franchise QB this late in the game, and the chances of him starting for more than 1 season is remote. But he could have a nice second career as a backup/mentor, like Mark Brunell did after leaving here...
