If Kerrigan surpasses Orakpo then that means that we have a future Hall of Famer on our hands, because Orakpo is pretty much a beast!

I don't think he is, and I agree that it does not really matter! As long as thety both keep playing at this level we are going to be tough on opposing Qbs all year long!

Re: Your thoughts of the possibility of Kerrigan "surpassing" Orakpo

They're both incredible players, but keep this in mind...without Orakpo being on this team, would Kerrigan be having this success. Orakpo become a legitimate player that must be double-teamed or held every play. That's one less body to block Kerrigan or anyone else. I'm not knocking Kerrigan, he's obviously a beast on his own, but both of them may end up contributing to the other's success from now on. Teams can not double-team BOTH of them. At this point, our opponents have been focusing on and fearing Orakpo. Now, they're going to have a huge dilemma as long as they're both on the field.

Kerrigan could end up being the best draft pick made by ANY team this year.

When is Orakpo a free agent? It seems like its his time to get an extension. And they better re-sign him, once Fletcher decides to hang it up he is the new leader of the defense. Landry is up for extension too pretty soon too right?

Im not sure about RAK's contract ( or Landry's ) , however , I heard that both Rocky and Fletcher are in their last years ? Two outstanding players in Rak / Kerrigan , if we were to find a young Seymour / Ngata , we would be Dominant . By the way , nice games on Sunday cowgirls and iggles

We can get at least 4 good years out of Cofield. He is only 28.

Jenkins, is our future as well at end and a rotational NT, Jenkins with Cofield(28) and Bowen(28) is going to be our line for the coming years. NOT to shabby if you ask me. Comparable to the good ones in the NFL for sure.

We also may have a Gnata type in Neild, I kinda doubt it but ya never know. I think he is more of a good depth player.

I would assume that we resign Fletch to a short deal, Rak and Landry should both be extended (with the new rules in signing draft picks there is money to go around, Landry may not get a big deal from us if he can't stay healthy), and damn I would love to resign Rocky but he is playing great and may want to test FA after the year.

We are going to have to sign one of the middle backers before next year as you dont want to take a strength in our team right now. AND replace two of the pieces.

Re: Your thoughts of the possibility of Kerrigan "surpassing" Orakpo

This is like asking, what if ST would've surpassed Landry.

Doesn't matter because together they both would've been a force. So I've got no problem with Kerrigan surpassing Orakpo.

2 beastly OLBs? Even if one does end up better than the other? I'll take it.

Got that backwards, and wouldn't have happened.

As far as this argument goes, I agree with all, this is a great discussion to even have.

Thing is, these guys are going to be able to feed off of each other, reap the benefits of teams focusing on the other on particular plays, and be able to learn from each other for a long time.

Could not ask for more from these two. ALSO great level headed men as well with high character. Not going to get many Joey Porter comments from either of them or boneheaded articles like the ones from James Harrison. They also play aggressive but clean. What more could you ask for from our OLBs?

National media will be all over these two once we are good enough to warrant the attention again. Which may come sooner rather than later.

Orakpo, Kerrigan and Fletch could all make the PB
