Re: Robert Griffin III: The Man Behind The Name
I hope they know that all this does is fuel RGIII to prove the haters wrong. I have said that Griffin is "the real deal" since October and all we have to do as a fan base is support him thru the learning process and everything will be fine!
What the article said about his father clearing his head about winning the Heisman is all I need to know about his focus. We are going to have a good one and Snyder haters hate it! |

Re: Robert Griffin III: The Man Behind The Name
Does anybody (here) really see Griffin as a young Steve McNair?
As to the misinformation surrounding Griffin's personality or maybe character, it could be that he's kind of aloof, which can be mistaken for arrogance but I think it's probably more that he's just dealing w/ the "big stage" in his own way.

But I was talking about style of play regarding McNair, which I think will be limited in similarity. McNair was a hulk of a QB who extended plays w/ sheer strength and power. Griffin doesn't have that kind of bulk/strength and will have to extend plays w/ his quickness, speed and hopefully good vision. Also, I think Griffin is more accurate already, but we're waiting to see if he can adjust to the speed of pro ball.

Re: Robert Griffin III: The Man Behind The Name
Houston should be a good team, but they've had a lot of key losses too. I'd hold off on putting them in Super Bowl talk until we see what they do in the draft.

WaPost: Inside Look at RG3's Upbringing - Hogs Haven
EDIT: sorry it's apparently referencing the Wapo story. But the reason I what I was trying to post was I guess a comment in the story about how RG3's parents are already flying a Redskins flag outside their house. Last edited by SBXVII; 04-22-2012 at 09:41 PM. |

Re: Robert Griffin III: The Man Behind The Name
I saw this... about half way down "Hog Heaven" has an article that says "RG3's Parants already have a Redskins Flag Flying at their house."
http://sportspyder.com/teams/washington-redskins/news In any event it's the same story MattyK posted. |

Re: Robert Griffin III: The Man Behind The Name
I re-watched the Baylor-Oklahoma game last night that I had on DVR (watched it live the first time).
RGIII is amazing. He did not run tha much in that game (passed for 479 with 4 TDs and ran for 72 yards) but he was still moving a lot. I noticed a great ability to find someone open way downfield when he's scrambling. So much for him being selfish. He had an 80ish-yard TD pass on the second play of the game called back by a hold too. I'd also love for us to draft Kendall Wright, man is fast and gives 100% effort.

His deep ball touch and accuracy is insane.
