Re: Russel Wilson or Bob
I honestly think all three are equally deserving. Russel Wilson has been balling all season long. I wouldn't be the least upset if RG didn't get it. I just want him to take us deep into the playoffs.

Re: Russel Wilson or Bob
I think IMO it is safe to say I rather Russell Wilson then Bob and 3 extra first round picks. I watched him for the first time last night for an entire game and I was very impressed.
Before you blast me I am not saying Wilson is better then RGIII; I am saying I rather Wilson and 3 first round picks (assuming we drafted Wilson in the 3rd round).

Right now as 12/24/2012 Wilson and RGIII are neck and neck quality wise.

Re: Russel Wilson or Bob
Definitely RG3. Wilson is a nice player. Griffin will be a transcendent player. I'm amazed that he hasn't had a "bad" game yet. One of those games that you attribute as a rookie barfing all over himself. Luck and Wilson have had a couple of those games apiece. Griffin hasn't played like a rookie at any point this season. When we get Fred Davis back next year, and additional depth on the O-line, RG3 is going to be a top-3 QB - take that to the bank.

Re: Russel Wilson or Bob
Last nights game vs. the SF 49ers is the first time I ever saw Wilson play in the NFL. I saw him play for the Badgers....he did a phenomenal job at the QB position last night. But I'd choose RG3 over him. Period.

Re: Russel Wilson or Bob
Probably the Pittsburgh game statistically speaking, with no help from his WRs that's for sure.

Yeah your right I looked the stats up but he also had 11 that's right 11 drops lol and one was a TD pass to hank so he actually would have had a solid game

Wilson has been simply outstanding. Both RG3 and Wilson are well deserving for ROY.

Re: Russel Wilson or Bob
Sorry, when a rookie QB leads the league in qb rating, completion percentage, has thrown the least amount of picks vs. all other starting QB's in the entire league (with 2 of those picks being ABSOLUETLY not his fault, has rushed for almost 800 yards, has a 6.6 ypc average, has thrown over 3200 yards and prolly more because of the Dallas game, thrown for 20+ TD's and rushed for 6, and has turned in a 6 (7*) game winstreak to take our team into the playoffs with a home game, and won the division, if he does not get it, it WILL be a travesty. He still has the Dallas game to really pad his stats so that there is no doubt, but still. His worst completion %age of the year was like 57.8%. That is phenomenal.
RG3 takes this one boys. With all due respect to all other QB draft classes, this draft class could be the best of all time with Luck, RG3, Wilson and Tannehill. I know its early, but I wouldnt be shocked to find out that it was in 6 or 7 years. |

Re: Russel Wilson or Bob
AGree that RG3's cost is HUGE. 3 first rounders, a couple of second rounders... Those three first rounders could have been secondary / LB -- and made us a force for the next decade. Our last 8 first rounders: RG3, Kerrigan, TWilliams, Orakpo, Landry, Campbell, Rogers, S.Taylor -- have really only missed on Campbell, maybe Landry..
Regardless, it's only fair to have this argument in 3-5 years, when we can see if Wilson / RG3 fade with tape review. As we've seen with Cam Newton, a great rookie year can fade when everyone else figures you out. Not to mention if you thought running the zone read with a 6 foot 2 QB is dangerous, Seattle is just starting to run it with a 5'11" 206lb QB. All it takes is one hit from Rams Robert Quinn next week for Flynn to be IN. Of the two, I still think RG3 is a better long-term bet. |
