Re: NFL Divisional week

Looks like Vrabel figured out that gimmick read option offense.

One of my coworkers has been saying the same thing all year. Once anyone could successfully figure out how to stop the read option, the Ravens were done in their current configuration.

still don't want to take anything away from Lamar Jackson this season though, he provided us with a lot of holy shit moments. He was fun to watch this season.

The Titans have a blueprint out there now on how to nullify the Ravens' offense. It will be interesting to see how their offense fares next year.

Re: NFL Divisional week

Baltimore had 530 yards of total offense, how many points does that normally produce, 40+? Teams that score around 12 points usually barely creep over 200 yards like the Redskins were often doing this year. Even though they had 3 turnovers and were 0-3 on 4th down that is an insane amount of yards to end up with only 12 points.

I think the loss was more on Lamar Jackson making a lot of mistakes, the moment may have gotten to him. Those two QB sneaks were uncharacteristically bad. The personal foul making a tackle after his first interception showed he wasn't composed.

Re: NFL Divisional week

The difference in both games last night: the trenches.

San Fran d line was the story of the game and their zone blocking run scheme a close second

Tennessee d line forced enough turnovers and pressured Jackson into poor decisions. Derrick Henry and that oline > Baltimore front 7.

So playing strong defense and running the ball....folks it’s always why teams advance in the playoffs. The fantasy football stats distorts this fact these days.

Want to help Haskins? Lock up our 2 best Oline man and bring a RB who can stay healthy

Re: NFL Divisional week

My lord the Kirk talk is just nauseating at this point. I just found it funny as a Skins fan to watch Kyle Shanahan battle it out vs Kirk Cousins in the divisional round of the playoffs. We had both guys in the building and had no vision to see they were guys worth keeping around.

Now it’s the same petty talk about shaming Kirk to make ourselves feel better about letting our best QB in years go. Both Kyle and Kirk have moved on to bigger and better things and we can’t stop cutting them down in some way. Kind of embarrassing honestly.

They had a combined record of 23-9 this year and as a fan of a team with 3 wins we’re judging them, just hilarious.

From his perspective, Kirk left a shitshow of an organization led by a guy who didn't want him, to go to a better team in a better organization, who also paid him enough money to secure the rest of his life. I would've done the same thing.

Our mistake was not trading him when we had the chance, and picking up a 1st or 2nd rounder in the process.

Re: NFL Divisional week

The way I see it Snyder poisoned the relationship with Cousins by giving RG3 the key to the city and meddling in coaching decisions between the two. BA furter made the relationship toxic by not even offering Kirk close to a market rate second contract. I don't see how anyone could blame him for leaving for greener pastures. While he was the best Redskins QB so far in the Snyder era I like the current situation as I think Haskins has a lot more upside than Kirk.

He has more upside but will he be the worker that Cousins is? Will he have the maturity level that it takes to be an NFL QB? Those are questions that we will find out very soon.

Re: NFL Divisional week

NBC Sports Washington posted an article about the Titans safety trolling Lamar and posted not cool. Yet, everyone trolls KC repeatedly. Sherman was trolling him for you like that during the game.

I almost feel bad for him, but 84 millions buys a lot of happiness.

Re: NFL Divisional week

I really like Lamar Jackson. I like the way he stayed the course, went against all the negative press and criticism...his whole demeanor of “quiet confidence” is something Haskins should take note of. Studied, accepted good coaching and really built his game to level rarely seen this quickly.

That’s my big disappointment from last night because now some may say he can’t win the big game at such a small sample size.

Keep your head up Lamar!
