To piggyback on what I said, I like the numbers on helmet, but if they were outlined in white, that would be better (I am sure Dan can afford the extra 3 cents for 2 color stickers.

Also, need the three stripes down the middle. The 3 stripes down the middle is old school! We won three superbowls with those stripes!

Right now the helmets look like usc Trojans, way too generic. This is the pros! No budget cuts please. I’m not a computer graphic guy, but Would love to see that helmet sketched up. Summo?

Finally, I hate the fonts in Washington. Should have kept the traditional fonts.

Overall, imma stick around this season because I am a big Haskins fan (Marino like arm in my opinion). But if they don’t want to lose us old timers (I saw all three Super Bowl wins age 12 to 21), Thry better not move too much away from tradition.

I do like the name Washington football team, I think it should stay. Please no red wolves, etc.

After 24 hours to settle in, I am a fan of this look.. Honestly it's also unique to not have a nickname...

What's the deal with this Jimbo/guest nonsense Matty?

Speaking of nonsense, if they go with Washington Football Team permanently I'm out. That's the most stupid nickname I've ever heard.

Agree about the stripes down the middle. Would be sick. Disagree about changing the numbers to white. They look bad ass in burgundy. New unis are sweet boys.

Agreed.

It's grown on me quite a bit the last couple of days.

And love the Seinfeld reference.

I feel like the internet suggested it as a way of mocking the Redskins for their stupidity, and then Dan was asking his advisors for help one day and someone was like "well the internet loves the name Washington Football Team, let's go with that until the new name is ready."

Re: Washington Football Team

I was reading some posts on the subject, and it seems that there is a small collection of fans who think that while "Washington Football Team" is the best thing they can do for this season, it also raises another issue if merchandise sales, etc. resume and the new name becomes profitable for Dan. In this way, he/they doesn't have as much incentive to pick a permanent name if he is making money again, and if the team somehow is successful under Ron. Winning and making money might push some of the search for the "new" name to the back burner.

If people are going to buy Washington Football Team items, they are going to BUY(!!!) Redwolves/Warriors items. Plus if the team were to do good, ie win the division, the team would make fortunes selling the 1 year legacy uniform, along with the new (hopefully kick ass) branded items with the new logo/team name. It's a no lose situation for DS and ownership IF the team starts winning.

Re: Washington Football Team

We’re a classic franchise and this is a pretty classic look with the numbers on the helmets. I actually hope that part becomes permanent.

Could also be used as a throwback helmet and uniform if they are changed....
