It's not optimism, it's realism. It's one game, one road game. We can't just throw in the towel now. Well, we can I suppose. But how would you like it if that's what Zorn, Blache or any of the other players decided to do now? If they just quit?

We need Springs healthy and playing (very disappointed in him), we need Taylor at 100%, we need Golston back out there. We need to convert 3rd downs, we need to play Thrash more until Thomas or Kelly is ready. We need to get Cooley in the offensive gameflow from the first play of the game. We need to make plays on defense when we're in position to do so (all the dropped interceptions).

It's a lot, but it's not impossible to think it will happen sooner than later

I stole some of Hess' "piss and vinegar". I apologize.

im not giving up yet..its just what i cant figure out is how did we go from being just perdy good the first 3 preseason games, to being just plain out terrible the last 2 and the opener? seriously you think they would have enough time atleast get some of the most basic stuff down, but that dosent even appear possible

I'm certainly not giving up on JC, Zorn or the season. However, this is downright depressing. The offense is struggling in a big way, the defense is struggling, and we haven't seen many glimmers of hope.

Here's my take: Terrible play calling by Zorn. Poor blocking by Cooley. No hands by Rogers. Terrible pass coverage by all db's. Result: LOSS
