I didn't think portis was looking THAT great. He has lost so much ability IMO. I like Torian in there. Might as well.

The defense has been the biggest let down of everything, but I feel the 3-4 will be beneficial in it's time once they get the personal.

In all honesty, this team has no talent. Joey Galloway is a start on this team.

Lets match D. Hall up against their best WR next week, and see what happens

And pray for the powers that be. Did you see "my defense " play defense today?

Re: Week 3: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday thread

The sole responsibility of this mess always has rested with Snyder. He is either really not that interested in the winning or just is too damn impatient, or a combo of the two. Just like giving a player no real incentive to produce with a ridiculous contract like Dan and Vinny gave AH, the fans in the DC area haven't given Snyder a real incentive to produce a winner. Up here in Detroit you have had numerous blackouts because the fans weren't going to pay obscene ticket and food prices for shitty football. When was the last time the Skins even came close to a blackout? Never!!! Danny can do what he pleases and he has perfected the art of playing on the peoples hopes. Danny boy should run for president in fact, as every presidential candidate does the same crap every 4 years, and gets away with it, playing the people for suckers. I hope I am wrong about this, and that Dan stays with Shanny long enough to build something, but if things don't change next season I am inclined to think Snyder might pull the plug yet again.

Two weeks ago we were talking playoffs and dominance now it is doom and gloom. Go figure. Guys, it is just a game.

Re: Week 3: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday thread

Can anyone explain why the hell do the corners play so far off the receivers when even I can spot a slant call about to get called like it did for what seemed like more than 50% of their passes?

This was a pathetic showing against a terrible team and feels very much like the game against the lions last year. Despite shooting ourselves in the foot and being down 14 pts within 7 minutes, they bounced back and should have steam rolled the Rams once Jackson went down, but once again settling for field goals and being an atrocious 1-10 on 3rd down killed us.

This is a much tougher loss to take than last week because atleast last week it felt like the team fought and hung around with a good team, but right off the bat the Skins looked like they didn't take the rams seriously and never adjusted to the play calls of both their offense and defense.

This loss was worse than the loss to the Lions last year. At least, we didn't get blown out then. Many cited that loss as the turning point of the season, right into the crapper. So, is this it for the Skins this season? We headed for another top five pick?

I think we are, this team sucks. Unless a miracle happens, it is a top 5 pick.

Check out the QBs (and some RBs) we face.

Yeah, we're done for. With all of our glaring needs. who do we draft with our top five pick? A QB? Another OL? WR? LB?
