Re: BREAKING NEWS: Bill Parcells Retires
Well I think it's fine to bring him up in this particular thread because a lot of people would probably argue that Man-tits might have stuck around a little longer had Satan, I mean jerry jones, not brought TO in.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Bill Parcells Retires
Well, I would imagine between JJ and TO, it took much of the fun out of the deal for Parcell's. He probably does not need cash.......sooooo

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Bill Parcells Retires
Here is another:
Quote:
"Yeah! I dropped some balls! But when you only get 3 or 4 throws coming my way per half, well, am I supposed to catch every one of them? The drops I had were because I shouldn't be expected to play hard every down if Romo only looks my way every once in a while. I should be the first and only option on every play. If I drop a key first down or a sure TD then I still deserve another chance because I am T.O. We lost the game in Washington because They only threw to me like 5 times. I love me some me!!" |

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Bill Parcells Retires
since jerry jones seems to have so much confidence on TO,he should hire him as player coach.that would be a dream come true for redskins fans all over the globe aye?

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Bill Parcells Retires
ESPN is reporting now that it is likely that former qb jason garrett is more than likely going to be the cowboys next head coach!

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Bill Parcells Retires
I hear there was a lot of talk of making him the offensive coordinator. But another, more recent, possibility is make him the coach for 2007. Then in 2008 go after Cowher and move Garrett down to OC so he can learn under him. Unless Garrett just does really great in 2007.
If it were me, regardless of how he does I say if you choose Garrett to be the coach then you stick with him. With that in mind though, I wouldn't choose him to be the head coach quite yet. He's never been more than a QB coach. Make him the offensive cooredinator. Most significantly though I think this is about Jerry Jones picking a coach he can control. He couldn't control Parcells and I think he really hated that.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Bill Parcells Retires
I heard that Garrett has never called plays either, so just the step up to OC seems pretty huge.

Agreed, the only way this makes sense (not saying it's not true) is if somehow Jason and the Cowboy players are aware that he is an interim HC. Even that is pretty crazy considering how early it is in the off-season. I think Norv Turner is the best candidate at this time. The defense is fine but the offense needs solid direction. Turner would be able to work with a decent QB that may prove to be a legitimate Pro-Bowler one day. I don't think Norv would take the OC job. It's HC or nothing for him IMO.
