Yoder, we can move the ball as effectively as we did against Philadelphia. The problem has been focusing too much on our 1# and 2# and not getting everyone involved. Come on Gibbs lets get this train moving and stop tipping in neutral.

Re: Can the redskins beat the lions without portis and moss
i think without a doubt we can win without portis or moss but without rethinking our offensive gameplan we might be outback on this one. I also believe the lions are set for a little bit of a letdown on their side of the ball. I think beating the "rexless" bears might have been be a good for us. but our corners have their hands full with those big wideouts they have.

I still have a really bad feeling about this one. Hopefully we pull it out but I wouldn't be surprised either way.

I agree! To be realistic these days a great day would be 28 points scored! and a solid victory would be by only 10 points...don't remember the last game we dominated and won by more than 14 points. This is the new reality of where we are...It does not mean we don't play well!

would love to talk about Cooley but since were unfortually using him a blocker on DE like strahand. Since every team but us has burn the giants with a TE but us. Heaven forbid we use him in the passing game.

I really think the Giants out played and out coached us that game... It was a very tragic second half. I was just talking to my friend (Giants fan) and he wouldn't shut up about how much Jason Campbell scares him. I think a lot of us point to his lack of execution in the short game, but for some unknown reason I think he'll over come it. The guy works to f'n hard to not keep improving. Sorry, went off on a tangent there. Ultimately, I believe Al Saunders won't keep Cooley in anymore. He's had two weeks to figure out how to utilize his players, and I'd expect CC to break out on finally, especially with Moss hurt.

Whoa, calm down guys....we aren't hurt even if they don't play. I'm happy with the way Betts, and ARE are doing so far, they'll just have to kick it up a notch. It's not like we've been blowing people out this year. It will be ugly, but we will pull it off. 17-14 us. I would rather see Moss play through his injury that Clinton. Not that they are a different caliber player, but the knee thing worries me in the long run.

I don't think Moss will be that big of a deal, but Clinton could be huge. I'm not very pleased with Ladell's running so far.

Re: Can the redskins beat the lions without portis and moss
UPDATES:
Santana did sprints on Thursday at practice, but did not catch balls. Unlikely to play but not officially ruled out. Also, Brandon Lloyd may miss the game this week because he was kicked in the shin during Wednesday's practice. Good job, Keenan! Helping the team already! ![]() McCardell and Caldwell will both be active for the Week 5 game. |

I'm confident that Randel El, McCardell and Caldwell can be very effective.
