I would pick Kalil and trade Williams (don't trust him).

How about draft Kalil and move him or TW to RT and have the best Tackle duo in the NFL? Honestly QB is the way to go no doubt and if not I'd trade down and draft BPA then

Unless we address the QB position via trade or FA prior to the draft, I cannot see anything short of the big 3 at QB being our pick otherwise there will be an all out revolt among the fan base. While Shanny doesn't just do things based on that, he'd be foolish to expect otherwise.. I think we're at the crucial point where we have to make a bold move to secure the future at that position.

Well I did bring up Colt McCoy several weeks back but I don't think he's necessarily coming here. He's just someone that could be available.

A lot of people talk about Flynn and Hoyer. I think the Seahawks are going to go hard after Flynn and Hoyer stays in NE.

There is someone else rumored, but I'll keep that name under wraps and regardless he wouldn't deter the Redskins from drafting a QB

And as for the QB, the big 3 we all know of isn't necessarily the Redskins big 3. Of course, whether some guys even come out will make a huge difference

It's fun to predict and guess as a fan base. We do desperately need a QB, but there are many things that happen on draft day that we're not privy to. Maybe they like two guys and try to trade up but the price tag is too high. I don't want them to leverage our future, necessarily, just to get their guy. I hope the majority of Skins fans understand this. It's kind of funny, I can see this playing a couple ways.

1. Skins throw away / over pay for Luck/Griffin as usual.
2. Skins have a crappy draft b/c they don't get Luck / Griffin.

I guess I'm trying to say sh** happens and while I'd like to walk away w/ Luck/Griffin/or other we need to continue to draft good players. I trust them and expect them to be smart about it.

I know you know this, but while i'd be disappointed I'd be happy with another good draft. While Grossman is not our long term answer, he may be our answer next year.

If the Redskins are in the top 5 and pass on a QB I will probably break my TV and end up in a mental institution...

Let me just throw this hypothetical out there?

Is Barkley and say Dwight Jones significantly better than Justin Blackmon Nick Foles?

I guess what I'm asking is do you think the gap between the top 3 (Luck, Barkley, RG III) and the next set of QBs significant?

Re: 2012 Draft-QB Prospects (Part III)

I mean looking at the entire draft we need a QB worse than any other team picking in the top 10 (assuming Manning plays another couple/few years), if anyone should be trading up to get one of the top talents it should be us.

I agree, we have the biggest need at QB. We are the team that should be moving up. The way I see it, we need to come away with Luck, Barkley, or RG3. Period. And that order is also my order of preference.

If anyone should be trading up, it should be us. But I don't know if anyone should be trading up, unless the Colts would be willing to deal for Luck. There really is no sure thing in the draft, and many of the smarter organizations (Pats, Steelers) therefore rarely trade up, especially in the first found.

If the Skins fall to 10th in the draft, they should draft Jones and sign Matt Flynn. Flynn is a free agent at the end of the year; he won a national championship in college, has tutored under Aaron Rodgers for four years, and would come pretty cheap. It would be smart to take a chance on him and have a top ten draft pick to back him up.

Well we do have a trading history (now) with the Jags, so hopefully we do trade with them.

Truthishly, I'd have them taking one of those guys more in the 15-20 range. But I got lazy and didn't want to keep guessing picks

Re: 2012 Draft-QB Prospects (Part III)

Using Smoot's scenario as a jump off......and the idea of the Ram's trading Bradford...

If the Browns jump up to draft RGIII what would do you think it would take to get Colt McCoy (who's career production is on par if not better then Sam's Bradfords)?

I dont see where some of u guys are coming up w these QB scenarios?? Lol rams trading Sam? No chance
Vikings trading ponder after half a season?? No chance and no to colt McCoy he sucks, small and avg arm, I'd rathe have Sanchez. As For Landry jones, I hope he stays at OU he needs it. I want Barkley or Luck obviously that's prob not gonna happen so RG or Tannenhill seems more likely
