NFL installing trackers in players' pads to enhance statistics - ESPN

The tracker will be sued to track how far and fast a player runs. It seems like it will only be used for Thurs Night football games. The skins game will have them.

3 things:

1 - i wonder if the NFL made Zebra Technologies sign a non-compete clause to keep espn, fox and others from using the same technology

2 - cant wait to see desean's tracking stats

3 - i want to buy some zebra technology stock. that last sentence of the article was a clear marketing/sales pitch thrown in there. and im buying it.

^That's pretty cool.

Tom Coughlin: 'I'm just praying' David Wilson is OK - NFL.com

Sucks for the Giants, but speaking as a football fan and not a Redskins fan, perhaps we'll get to see Andre Williams sooner. I love Williams and think he'll be a great player. Feel like a traitor to say it, but Williams and Odell Beckham were two of my favorite players in the draft.

The first preseason game of 2014 is getting closer and closer... may the Giants lose the first preseason game of what will hopefully be a season full of G-men pain and shame. (Note the lack of humor-indicating smilies.)

The real question now is will players put their pads dryer during games?

And todays leader in the Southwest Airlines distance traveled category is Bryan Johnson with......um.......150 miles traveled.
