Re: Redskins vs Rams pre game thread

I thought we had a chance last week, dolphins are overrated.

I don't think we have a chance this Sunday. Maybe being competitive is step in right direction.

That's the sad part. The Skins could be much improved, but it might not translate into wins. They may go from getting blown out last year to being competitive but still losing. That might be what progress looks like this year, unfortunately.

The Rams are in the same category as the Dolphins to me. Not sure when they became world beaters or anything. The Skins are capable of winning this one.

Really? First why does it seem a lot of fans think the refs are screwing their team? I am sure you realize most calls are made once at full speed at field level, not watching a slow motion reply shot from above field level that
you see sitting on your couch. Also we have 7 average Joes watching 22
very fast and or large men at field level (Lots of obstructed views). Refs are graded weekly if anyone was showing bias they would be suspended
and or fired quickly. It is a well paying part time job so they get the cream of the crop. I refereed HS passing league games when playing college football. I was as big and fast as the guys I was officiating and it was 7 on 7 on a full
sized field. Plenty of times on PI calls I wish I could have watched a replay,
only the blatant ones are obvious. Some of those DBs are real sneaky how
they can tug on a jersey at the same time they block your view.

One suggestion I heard was to hire refs from the college players that dont make the NFL. I am not sure that's a perfect solution but I don't think its a bad idea either.

To win this game the coaches have to be more aggressive. If they coach scared how can we expect our team to every progress? When coaches are being aggressive and trusting our players they have to execute. This team has the talent to beat the Rams. We just have to go out there and do it.
I guess superior means something different to you than me. I would say the Patriots that have averaged 11 wins a year since 2000 are far superior to a Redskin team that has finished in last place more often than not in that time span and average 6 1/2 wins.

If you don't think the Redskins lack talent (especially depth) you must be taking your bathroom breaks when they have been covering kicks the last couple years. They are getting blocked, reacting slow and getting faked out
of their shoes. Nothing fixes those problems other than more talented players.

Till we prove we can win a game I will not be picking us to win.We have a chance but we always find a way to shoot ourselves in the foot,it's been a steady pattern.I would not pick us to beat anybody at this point, not even Oakland.
We played well enough to win last week, but shoulda woulda coulda dont mean shit

Redskins 24
Rams 17

Jamison Crowder with a game winning 74 yard PR TD in the most ironic way

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

Only way Crowder gets a PR TD is if we trade him to the Rams and he plays against our ST.
I hope I'm wrong but I doubt anyone is concerned about the 2015 Training Camp Man Crush award winner.

Yes the Patriots have average 11 wins per season but they still beatable. Their defense can be exploit. They can be passed on and ran on. The Steelers proved that. Tom Brady can be pressured and their running game can be shut down. If the Patriots was truly a superior team this wouldn't be possible.

Of course we need more talent on this team. However that does mean we don't have any talent. Execution trumps talent any and every Sunday. The Patriots are a perfect examples of this. I actually bet anything that the Rams have way talent that the Patriots however they haven't been anywhere close the having their success.

But, but they beat the Seahawks! And they have a pass rush! Plus Jeff Fisher last year trolling us blah blah blah!

No, it's a very winnable game. Cousins has a quick release which should give us a good chance to get the ball out and make plays. I also think our defense has improved and the Rams offense isn't anything to panic about. We know Foles, we can get to him.

I kind of feel the same way. This is a winnable game.

Of course it is, every game is "winnable." Doesn't mean the chances aren't low.
