As much as I love lots of stuff that formed my musical preferences, it's depressing how long ago it was. Listening to a song right now that I liked, but didn't love. From 2010. I was a spry young 27-year old. I hate this song now lol.

You Know You Are Getting Old When... You attend a sports event at your College alma mater and they are playing modern remixes and mash-ups of music that was new and popular when you were in high school and college! SMH Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk

As you get older your reading vision goes to shit but the funny thing is your distance vision can improve. That's the way my eyes have gone in the last few years. I've got progressive lenses now and they're great. Progressive contacts kinda suck though, even with them I still need reading glasses.

When students tell you they won't watch the Christian Bale Batman movies because they don't watch "really old movies"

Had my first colonoscopy yesterday... man what a total nothing burger that was. When the time comes for you, just do it and get it over with, you'll be glad you did.

It's a nothing burger as long as they tell you that you're good for 10 years...unlike my best friend when they said we need to see you again 6 months! For those of you who haven't done this, DO IT! Any history of colon cancer in your family at all, you need to go in your 40s guys. Just get checked. It's a half day spent on the toilet that could save your life!

Yes the actually procedure for a colonoscopy is nothing but the day before for a big eater like me sucks. I'm 65 and have been amazingly healthy my entire life. Rarely sick, I don't have a bad back or knee, never broke a bone or torn a ligament despite being very active in sports. But in the last 5 months I have been diagnosed with high blood pressure, prostate cancer and now my pre-diabetes blood work crossed over the line to diabetes. But it's not as bad as it sounds. The blood pressure took a few tries but we got the right meds, as I mentioned in the other thread stage 2 prostate cancer has a survival rate of like 98%. As for my blood sugar I learned when you get cancer you tend to go "what the Hell why don't I get that Hagen Daz?" while at the store. We never had ice cream or donuts in the house until recently. I ate like crap the last few months, I can change that. |
