Re: Cards postgame
Makes sense that he's better on the quick stuff, essentially one read throws.

Re: Cards postgame
Secondary was sitting in soft cover a lot. A good bit of completions in front of them, which I guess was the design and intention. I thought the secondary did a good job of coming up and making tackles though.
Apke - boy ... hes processing way to slow. On that long ball to Isbealla, he watches the WR running full speed at him but doesnt read or recognize or react .. just stands there flat footed and doesnt turn his hips to run with him until isbaella is past him. Lucky it was an underthrown ball. We knew he was a project when we drafted him, banking on his speed and hopes of being coachable ... but I question his feel for the game. hes another guy that seems to be destined to be special teams and a no. 2 backup. edit -- https://twitter.com/MarkBullockNFL/s...042664964?s=20 heres the Apke play. Bullock points out it looks like Apke was caught reading a crossing route in front of him .. at least that is some kind of explanation.

Need to get the ball in Terry's hands as much as possible.

That strip sack when we were in the RZ early in the game. Scherff gets beat quickly .. I have not seen anything on his injury yet.

Re: Cards postgame
Regarding Turner, not even sure what his plan was or is at this point. But if your line suck and your Qb isn't that good then perhaps it's hard to judge him.

Re: Cards postgame
I say let him get to 20 career starts and then judge him. If he's bad by week 13 or so then just put Allen in and see what he can do over the final month

Re: Cards postgame
Final thought on DH
Haskins' average time to throw is 2.15 seconds. Last in the NFL. He is under pressure on 35.1% of his dropbacks, 3rd most. The receiving core isn't helping out either. Terry seems to be the only receiver getting open and the TE group is arguably the worst in the NFL.

Re: Cards postgame
We played bad yesterday but what pissed me off the most is when our coach quit with time left on the clock. Sure the chances of us scoring two TD's is slim but there is always a fluke chance. If the coach gives up how can he expect the player not to give up. He set a poor standard and you could even see the players looking to the sideline wondering what the hell.

RR on Haskins "He has to get in rhythm early on, he can't miss the easy throws"
"It's on all of us to get going"
