Little Shanny in San Fran wanted Cousin and would have given multiple picks including a 1st... Pats had a 1st round pick for Trent and we botched it.

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
I honestly hope TW sticks it to BA and DS. This shit has to hit rock bottom before we start back up imo. I am on the Meks bandwagon burn it down.

How so, by losing millions in salary. And what BA says is nothing more than a ploy for a better trade offer.... he is not giving away Trent.

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
Better than the 1 they are offered? I will be shocked if that happens. Waiting till January won’t improve his trade value

The only team “confirmed” to have offered a 1 was the patriots - and their 1 will almost certainly be pick 31 or 32. That’s just not enough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
For a team that doesn't have a 2nd round pick, is going through a rebuild and the player won't play for them anyway the 31st or 32nd pick is more than enough. Trent is 31 at this point, has missed games in the last few years and we haven't gone anywhere with him. As much as I would hate seeing him go. It is more than enough for him.,

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
If we are being offered a 1 at the beginning of the year what would the value be in January after he say a year? Maybe I am naive but I would think the value would go down. Especially in the last year of a contract.

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
The trade deadline is 3 weeks away. I think something will happen this year, probably a trade. I doubt Trent wants to give up about 10 million more this year. Neither the Redskins or Trent gain anything by sitting out the season.
The Redskins could settle for several high picks. And there will be teams willing to offer them. |

BA has just said, three days ago, that he has no intention of trading TW. He has received calls from other teams but has politely turned them ALL down. Until BA is fired or overridden by Snyder I see no resolution to this impasse. TW will not play, the GM will not even field a trade offer. Perhaps the new HC will convince BA and/or Snyder that they need the high draft pick they will get by trading TW. I see this impasse going on into next year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
Great question. No season ticket waiting list, no sellouts, no fans showing up to games. It has to be soon right? At least when Irsay did this to Baltimore he intended to move the team to a new city. When the bucs and saints went through it they were expansion teams.

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
Trade some of the older players that are not performing up to their contracts. Josh Norman, Ryan Kerrigan, Jordan Reed, Trent Williams, Vernon Davis, and AP etc.
