The problem is that we probably have to much talent now to risk keeping Jacobs for his potential when the other guys have actually proven they can get open and make plays. I expect to see him gone unless he goes into training camp flat laying guys out on special teams.
I don't think so. He should be performing in the ballet, not playing football. He's a reflection of Steve Spurrier, a total pussy.

Clinton Portis mentioned Jacobs tonight on NFL Total Access. He said he was "the most talented guy to never to touch the field in the NFL".

Take it for what it is.

Ok. I will amend my statement to say - he may also end up being a solid WR or ballerina.

Yeah I'll agree with that statement. Of course, Portis isn't going to mention on the air that he's totally gutless, afraid of taking a hit, and completely lacks the drive to compete. Which is exactly why he never sees the field.

I just found it interesting that he went out of his way to mention him.

For what it's worth, we are fans, we don't get to see or hear much. Portis would be privy to much never seen on the outdside. I am not advocating TJ, but.........................it is indeed strange he would go out of his way to make mention of such a thing.

CP is just a team guy, that's all. What was Portis talking about when he made this comment or was it random?

Re: Patten to be released?

Sounds like good trade inflation talk to me. Let's trade TJ! We'll get random players on our team to hype him up. WITNESS THE BRILLIANCE OF JOE GIBBS!!!.

{I don't advocate the use of all-caps on a discussion board, by the way. I was trying to make it appear to the reader as if a big, booming voice was making that declaration.}

He was just talking about the weapons the team has.

Team guy is fine, but to bring up a WR who's buried on the depth chart is a little odd if you ask me.

Who knows, maybe they're just good buddies or something.

Re: Patten to be released?

True enough. If he brought him up without prompting, that might say something. Grrr, I almost want to give him another chance under Saunder's system, but then again I don't.

He definitely wasn't prompted to talk specifically about Jacobs, after all who cares about Taylor Jacobs anyway?

Maybe we were all just a year late on predicting big things for Jacobs. If he can step up and contribute I think we'd all gladly eat some crow.
