ESPN McNabb wants T.O. in D.C.

Sources: Donovan McNabb encouraging Washington Redskins to consider signing Terrell Owens - ESPN

Another problem I have with this is the way that the National Media would put so much focus on our team. It creates problems and they also make up problems that do not exist. Which I for one can't stand. AH situation as an example. There is so much disinformation out there right now that it is very hard to see what is actually going on behind the scenes at Redskins Park right now.
I agree but it is nice to be in the lime light. Imagine if we were Bills fans, honestly I forget they are up there at times. They even made TO a media nobody.

It's not a rumor I would get too worked up over at the moment. Several other things need to happen (or not happen) first.
like moving Kelly, trading down, and drafting Dez Bryant or Golden Tate?

Oh, and I forgot - trading McNabb. i mean, why bring in a receiver McNabb wants when you intend to trade McNabb to the Rams or Raiders?

I doubt the Skins would make such a move with out talking with McNabb and seeing if he would be able to work with the man again. Otherwise it would be a waist of time.

Plus this way he could point out to T.O. that it was he who helped get him a job again Anytime T.O. runs his mouth. LOL.
The bottom line I read said that Shanahan said we are NOT actively pursuing TO. And it was McNabb who lobbied Shanahan to sign him, so obviously they he feels they could work together again.

Re: Did Mcnabb open the door for TO?

I think as my second post shows McNabb knows the Skins need help at WR and T.O. is the best in FA right now that could upgrade the team. I think if the team is pushing for a playoff spot or SB bound then I'm sure they are looking into it.

As you said GMscud I heard a while ago the Skins were thinking about him and someone at the top was adament or against signing T.O. I think if it's true that everyone has to agree then maybe this was the first sign that their plan is working on how they bring in FA's and or draft players. It doesn't mean T.O. won't be here but some serious talking will need to take place.

But it does speak volumes when the leader of the team/ QB goes to upper management and says we need him you should go out and get him.

I wouldn't worry about any of these rumors until after the draft. Who knows if McNabb will even be here, he hasn't signed a contract extension yet.

Rosenhaus was just live on ESPN. He said that before TO signed with Dallas, Shanahan flew TO out to Denver and had dinner with him and "badly wanted to sign him." I didn't know that. That was 4 or 5 years ago though. TO has a lot more miles on him now.

Add me to the list that doesn't want this to happen. I know that the Redskins have wanted nothing to do with him in the past.

Umm, Shanahan tried to get T.O. in 2008 when he was being shopped by Dallas. He ended up with the Bills.
