I just don't see MS going in with a Rookie or just Rex next season, I thought Orton would be the guy until the last week or so I thought VY could be the guy, honestly if we have to trade for him I'd give them AH for VY

Isn't VY a free agent? I thought I heard somewhere saying that the Titants were planning on releasing him.

He's got like a 4 million roster bonus due. Not really sure what the parameters of that are. Like if the Titans cut him and the Redskins sign him, do the Redskins have to pay him that bonus? Not even sure when the bonus is due

Re: Redskins Reconstruction: Quarterbacks
Well this thread was originally about Smith, so it probably should include him. Not really sure what the poll should be though

Re: Redskins Reconstruction: Quarterbacks
You know he was on our radar two years ago...and then we got Colt
Rumor that the Niners may go after JJ. Seems like a fall back plan

I really liked him as sleeper QB prospect from that draft (Kevin O'Connell too). I've read the rumbling's Harbaugh + JJ with the 49ers. They were a highly productive tandem in 1-AA and Harbaugh had a really high opinion of Johnson. But it almost makes too much sense to happen. Did you mean a JJ could be fall back plan for the Skins or 49ers? It would be cool if Allen/Kyle bring Johnson (he drafted him once right?) in and gave him a shot; he can't cost that much via trade. I kinda suspect that Kyle really wants to give Rex a crack at the starting spot (which makes me vomit in my mouth a little) but I hope Beck gets a legitimate opportunity. |

Yeah Allen drafted him, largely based on Doug Williams' input I don't think KS really wants to give the job to Rex. I think he's comfortable with him above the other current choices, meaning Beck and McNabb but his preference is someone not on the roster We should have never let Chase go

But, it troubles me that Kyle or any OC might feel more comfortable with Rex regardless of wether he knows the offense or not. I would rather see Beck try to hold off a rookie QB of the future. |

Re: Redskins Reconstruction: Quarterbacks
Kaep would be an interesting choice, and tempting I'm sure for the Skins. But he seems even more raw than Locker

Re: Redskins Reconstruction: Quarterbacks
From observation I gather most will agree the Redskins need a QB. However, the method by which we fulfill that need raises many questions and opinions.
There's nothing more difficult than evaluating a QB, especially one coming out of college. This [PDF] while lengthly, offers an interesting conglomeration of facts, observations and conclusions, many of which we are already familiar. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sourc...xL5i6-eynNvj0A |
