I...DO hate the cowboys, BUT I do not hate Romo. As a matter of fact, I have a lot of respect for him. I would hate to see him get hurt seriously. On the other hand, I want there to be no excuses when......WE KICK THEIR ASSES....those are my thoughts

I'd rather see him throw four picks and fumble two snaps than puke blood but that's just the treehugger in me coming out.

All reports are the pneumo is very minor. And if it is a displaced rib fracture there is a chance for further injury.

However, the media is reporting that the rib fracture is not a displaced fracture, and if the pneumo has healed enough, they can give him a needle to help with the pain that is expected with a rib fracture.

I'd say he has a 30% chance of playing Monday night.

Hey Sandtrap!!! How the heck are ya???? What a c
Question I think the coaches have to answer is if a "limited" Romo is better than a "healthy" Kitna when game time comes around.

And Romo was 12-16 for 201 and a TD AFTER he returned late in the third quarter. That's pretty good for a guy with a broken rib and a hole in his lung.
Hey Sandtrap!!! How the heck are ya???? What a cowinkiedink you showing up after a Dallas win and such "heroic performance" by Romo. Whadya think about ol Holly saying that God tapped on Romo's sholder and told him to change the play???

That's why if Romo is on the field Monday night he should expect the Redskins D to be coming at him every play and I will conclude that he is 100% because if the reports are true then there is 100% chance of permanent injury.

Last thing I want to hear is that we beat the Cowboys because of a "limited" Romo. A needle for pain can not prevent a cracked rib from re-penetrating a already penetrated lung.

Lets see how JJ handles business.

Yeah, I'm sure God had everything to do with the safety playing too close to the line in the box obviously showing they were doubling up Ogletree. Allowing Romo to audible.

Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread

Looks like the news In Landover is getting better by the minute.

Just read that no on is sure if Romo will play Monday.

But, Austin is a for sure NO GO and Dez Bryant is still very questionable.
So the Cowboys could be taking the field with Kevin Ogeltree as the #1 WR, and a Felix Jones that has a separated shoulder.

The triage list is long in Dallas.......

Newman will FINALLY play (hope he remembers how to put on a helment). Newman has not practiced since week 1 of Training Camp. Jenkins is knicked up, Scandrick is out for a few more weeks with an ankle sprain. That leaves the most inept CB to ever wear a uniform covering the slot....Alan Ball. You can tell just how much I like AB.

Key to beating the Cowboys on Monday Night? Telling Romo funny jokes before and between plays. If this was a home game we could play Richard Pryor or Freddy Prinz Sr over the loud speaker.

Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread

Romo is a very, very good player who took over a team with a lot of talent on it, so I think people grew to hate him and what he stood for. But right now, he and Jason Witten (and Miles Austin, when healthy) are a couple of superstars (and in Witten's case, future Hall of Famer) on a team that really isn't very good.

They're the complete opposite of what the Redskins have become. The Redskins are a top-down organization: the coaches run everything. The players are more replaceable now than ever before. Starting quarterback gets hurt? Whatever.

The Cowboys have Romo, Witten, Ware and Austin, but that's it. This isn't a good team. It's a good four players. Bad teams like those seen in the NFC West don't have comparable talent to what the Cowboys offer. But that's really just those four guys.

And we don't have four guys as good as them, but I don't think we'll need it this week.

Appears that Fletcher, Grossman and Orakpo share you sentiment....

"[The newcomers will] learn pretty quickly that we hate the Cowboys around here," Fletcher said. "There's no love lost at all. After that game you'll normally see a bunch of people in the training room getting healed up for the next week. It's gonna be a physical game, a lot of intensity. We definitely don't like the Cowboys around here."

Whether you hate Dallas or not, what Romo did sunday was pretty incredible and gutsy, not heroic though.
What im afraid of happening is,if romo does play I think they will be very fast on the draw with the flag on protecting him.I foresee at least 1 roughing the passer call

Hey, the '82 NFC Championship was a hellava game. But that was almost 30 years ago, and according to the age on your avatar, it says you are 30 years old.

Don't tell me you REMEMBER watching that game.

Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread

Romo has no business stepping on the field against the Redskins or the Lions. If survives the Skins he won't survive against the Lions. It's a long season and the sensible thing to do is to sit him out the next two games and with the bye week he will have plenty of time to recover. I would be shocked if the Cowboys are stupid enough to risk seasonal or even worse a long term injury to thier franchise qb.
